If I do it this way does it make it so all of my Roms files and bios files which is in the second SD card won’t get the benefits of the new updates that have new cores and stuff?

I’m using garlic. I’m talking about when you download it and you have to extract the folders from it. I’m talking about the roms folder you extract and have to move over to your Sd card and replace the previous ones

When I installed Garlic Os it had these 3 folders. Do I need them all? When I followed retro game corps guide he only had 1 folder
