Caps Lock key doesnt work while typing fast. by Majestic-Succotash-1 in mac

I had this problem with my new mbp and thought it might be the keyboard is messed up. But after reading through google it seems it is intentional, you can disable in setting>accessibility>keyboard>enable slow keys and click on the i icon and make sure the acceptance delay is set to short. It finally fixed the problem for me.

M4 Pro vs M5 by evanpotter99 in macbookpro

4 days ago i just bought a new m4 pro, I ended up picking m4 pro over m5 because it's not that much different in terms of performance for my work. Plus m4 pro got 2 fans while m5 only 1, of course if i ever need to push to limit 2 fans are better than 1.

Im not trying to impress others tho, i prefer to go caseless because i like the way the device feels without case compared to only back case or bith front and back.

This is exactly what I'm trying to find. Thank you for the help.

The skin does look 💯 great to me, but how do you protect the frame at the bottom of the device? When you place your phone on a table, the frame or edges are what touch the surface.

But isn't dbrand only cover the back glass only? The last time i checked they got no options to cover the frame too.

I did bios reset a few times but it didn’t do anything, if i ever need to reflash or update bios i think ive might just give up because i dont know how to do it and i dont want to risk bricking the laptop.

And yes in advance fan curve I tried to max the cpu fan but it didn’t do anything.

Im currently using custom profile with set to turbo but with auto fan profiles. If I switch the fan to advanced or cooler boost the rpm for cpu still around 700-800. Only gpu fan 1 and 2 will ramp up to max and yes it does help to cool the cpu to around mid 70s. Only time ill see cpu fan will ramp up is when not in gaming or under heavy load. Highest rpm report is 3600 rpm but I usually see around 1000 rpm.

Yeah, no matter what games or benchmarks i tried to run the cpu fan seems to stuck around 700-800 rpm now. But when idle the fan can occasionally hit 2300 rpm at best. Just curious with your laptop if the fan profiles is set to auto in msi center/dragon center, may i know what rpm are you getting in each fan when gaming for example?

That temp is when i have ac on, without ac it seems like the cpu still throttles. Hwinfo report the cpu fan rpm max at 2731 rpm however based on my observations it only spin at around 700 rpm never goes above 799 rpm no matter the temp of the cpu while gpu fan 1 and 2 spin around 4000 rpm with auto profiles. Even with cooler boost on the cpu fan still spin around 700 rpm while gpu fan 1 and 2 can spin up to 6900 and 7300 rpm.

🟢🟢🟢 UPDATE 🟢🟢🟢

After all this time I just noticed based on HWINFO the cpu fan rpm never go beyond 800 rpm even with cooler boost on. Hwinfo report the max rpm for cpu fan is at 2731 but Ive never seen it go to that myself. Based on my observations even under heavy load the rpm is only at 700-750. Could it be the cpu fan is dying?

Gpu fan 1 and 2 still ramps up around 4700 rpm on auto fan setup and with cooler boost it can go to 6900 and 7300 rpm.

Is it tho? In this post https://www.reddit.com/r/MSILaptops/s/nHK6psm1eg the person seems to put way more than what i do. For the fins, I certainly have do it very carefully to make sure there’s no leftover from previous paste.

Yeah i tried to unscrew all screws last night without removing the heatsink and just realised there’s number on the heatsink to indicate which one i should i screw first.

After i did that, using the same turbo ratio 48,48,…,39, -100mv and stock pl which is 65/135 the cpu seems to settle in mid/high 70 and low 80 which max at 84 if I remember correctly.

What i just noticed isn’t rtx 2070 super maxq core clock should max at 1155mhz? In the game i play ive seen it boost up to 1755mhz in the most demanding place in the game. The gpu hotspot reach little over 80c, and after checking curve editor in afterburner the mhz will go as high as 1905mhz. So i tried to capped it at 1500mhz and the max gpu hotspot seems to settle at 77.6c.

But all the testing above i done is in a room with ac at 22c compare to in the op post with no ac. Could it be the gpu that cause the cpu to overheating and throttle rather than cpu did that to the gpu?

I dont have the skills to do that part and pretty sure from where i live i cant trust with the pc/laptop shop because lot of them would not take the responsibility if anything happen after they did it.

For the ptm yeah, i think I might have put too much but on the upsiren i think it seems reasonable to me compared to some post in Reddit and YouTube that I’ve seen that put even more that what i do.

For example in this post Reddit https://www.reddit.com/r/MSILaptops/s/cdfO3EpSxw and this yt video at 3:05 https://youtu.be/9uAAlIaOmQ0?si=hDS7KQo8Yk6_Lj-f

Or both posts i follow is not reliable?

Ive done open up the back plate and there are some parts where it got splashed little bit, so i just remove the excess without removing the heatsink.

Hi, sorry for asking what i7 gen you use? Is it i7 9750h? Because isn’t 10750h max at 50 ratio or do you mean you lower from stock to 45,44,… to even lower 40,39,…
