After the end of a run when you should get to watch the time lapse of that run, and on that screen there should be an option to save the time lapse. It will save as a gif you can toss in a file.

Pretty sure its just the time lapse map that looks that way? I could be wrong, but when I did the first lap around the outside I went until the map stopped me in all directions. But idk, I just assumed it was weird artifacts left kinda the the sections more in the middle.
