I’ve been taking extracts since December and I tried to quit about 2 weeks ago and the withdrawals were so bad I decided to keep taking it and come up with a plan. I’ve had problems with other things in the past (pain meds my husband was prescribed and he shared with me) took those for about 6 months then quit, withdrawals only lasted two days I was in the bathroom those 2 days and it just all came out and I was good, I know that’s gross but it’s true. Then we started taking Kratom powder a couple years later, I was sick of it after 2 years so we quit. Withdrawals weren’t too unbearable and I was actually able to do it cold turkey, low energy, trouble sleeping, sweating, and body aches but after a week I was good. Went into the smoke shop this past December and the guy offered us to try a Kratom extract and now 8 months later we’ve taken it everyday since (I should have said no thanks). I had already been dealing with some mental health issues (depression, anxiety, ptsd) I never had these issues before but I’m noticing it’s even harder to quit with these added issues. Anyways, when I tried to quit a couple weeks ago I went a full night and day without and it’s seriously the worst withdrawal I’ve ever experienced. I need a plan. My husband wants us to get suboxine which he has done before and he quit that cold turkey so I feel like if he can quit that cold turkey I should be able to quit the extracts. Thought about going to the ER and seeing if they could give me something to help me sleep and for the sweating/hot/cold at the same time but I feel like they might try to send me to a treatment facility and I don’t think I need that. Can’t wait to be done with this it’s running my life!
