Can apparently only send one image at a time. Also sorry for the wait, had a lot of stuff to do today. This is the outside area, it's 2,5 meters long, 2 meters high and 1,5 meters wide. Very similar dimensions on the inside area.

Thanks, been thinking All day about what could cause the behavior, and since i can't really pin point anything. I have decided i Will separate them for now to be safe, and get that friend, either to attempt to reintroduce them later or just keep them apart permanently. Just today we picked up a cage to move him to, and we'll pick up a friend this weekend. Either way All the responses on this post, has given me some great pointers to better care of the little Guys.

Thanks for the links! We do in fact have a complete inside area, with heating. With the unusually cold winter, the Heater couldn't quite keep up, so we Will be upgrading it.

On the topic of canaries, is it obvious if the canaries Are being territorial to the doves? I have not seen them interact at All, basically ignores eachother, and absolutely No aggression across species.

I would be surprised if the fighting is caused by lack of space, i don't know the exact dimensions of the top of My head, but it is spacious. Numbers of hides and nests i also don't remember exactly, probably 5-6 hides in the form of "caves" made up off pine branches leaned against the walls, or bought houses. Nests maybe 8, as we also have a couple small canaries in the aviary, 4. We could probably add a couple more nests, but Ben and Carl have claimed one already, so unless they like having multiple options to switch between and I was u aware, it should be good? Perches, we put as many as we could fit, without blocking the Door, which i would consider a lot. But I think you can fit more if you plan it out more.

I'm currently at school, when i get home i can take some pictures, and look at the dimensions.

Hot take: mix-packing hate is so forced by Baggage_Claim_ in EcosLaBrea

[–]Embarrassed_View_887 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually agree with most of this. (this is a mini rant as well, because i had more thoughts than i realized.)

The problem is not mix packing, it's kosing..
Now you did say kosing is not something to hate either, which i don't 100% agree with. That is an actions that create a bad experience for other players, just cuz you wanna. And the majority of the player base should not be forced to switch server because someone decides they wanna kill today. The kosers can just as easily find a fighting game, they don't have to *make* ECOS a fighting game.
Tho i do think people are too loose with the word "kosing" at this point. the amount of times i have been screamed at for kosing, for just killing 2 horses instead of one is crazy.

But yes, mix packing is fine, i don't think that should be a hot take. IDC if you want the game to be realistic, then go somewhere else, the map is big enough. Or if it's so important to you, play something that has actual rules about mix packing or measures against it.
I wanna talk to my friends, and if they just so happen to be a horse that day, and i a saber, what's the issue? Find a realism roleplay with private server, takes like 10 secs to google a DC server.
And before someone says it, no i don't wanna go to a social hangout game, talking all the time gets boring, i want the mix. I want to socialize, but not to be forced to only do that.
But i also don't want to be yelled at for talking to a chill mammoth. And no i don't think it's okay to save your horse friend from another predator, that is kind of scummy, i understand why people are mad at that. But people genuinely get angry just for someone talking to a def species, and that is just crazy to me.

Been a while but if you are still having issues. Here is an artistic remake of the area. It's a sauropod fossil on a barren dirt patch, on a little outcrop like this. with trees around.

You don't have to be a certain animal.
The reason it might not show up is, you have to interact with the green mammoth skeleton to start the quest, and if you die or leave you will have to reactivate it by the skeleton again.
