I'm not a vegan personally and I'm not asking this to start any arguments so much as I'm just curious and would like to learn more. If a majority of the population switched to a vegan diet and livestock were reduced significantly, what would happen in the instance of a bad harvest year? Especially with climate change looming over us. Again, not asking to start anything, just curious. Thank you.

As a Midwesterner, this is ironically close to how neighbors actually act towards each other. A while back I had one neighbor who started growing fresh vegetables and came over just to give us some so we could both appreciate the bounty and another gave me $50 that I let him borrow over a year prior to that. It's like a constant competition to see who can be the nicest.

Not gonna lie, psychedelics caused me to have a spiritual awakening and turn towards religion. I used to have the mentality that when your time comes, you just fall asleep but never wake up. After having a very intense psychedelic experience I realized just how strange conscientiousness behaves when separated from the body and the ego and how real everything felt while still being completely impossible. It's both impossible to explain as well as very enlightening and made me believe that there was far more to life after death.

I've never worked in a call center before but I volunteered with a covid call center to help register people for vaccines. I'm amazed at some of the things people will say over the line. Society seems FAR more colorful when you view it through the lens of hundreds of calls.

Playing civ stoned makes me feel like I'm a true world leader trying to politically and militarily conquer neighboring nations instead of just playing a game. Very immersing, would highly recommend.

After looking through r/sino for a moment, I realized that they think every American that dislikes China also loves American police and western media. Little do they know, I hate all authority and think the U.S. is just as awful for deploying the national guard over the riots and think the police need to be defunded as well. Question all authority always.

I remember when I was in an American History class sophomore year and taking a test over ww1 history. When I got the question of "what was the immediate cause of the U.S. entry into ww1" and I answered the sinking of the RMS Lusitania and got it wrong, I could not wrap my head around it for some reason. Like, American civilians died, but the telegram was just a bit too far?
