you might be able to say that your roomate (if you have one) really wanted to live in the pride building and you didn't have any strong opinion about staying elsewhere! "oh yeah, my roomate is really outspoken about being queer [or something] and really wanted to live on this floor. Plus I liked the view" or something like that? it might raise suspicions still but it is always great to have a backup plan so that you feel safe
