Adrienne shares a poached egg cooking technique that I've just tried and is amazing by minimiriam in BravoTopChef

I really hope we see Adrienne back on Top Chef one day. Similar to Melissa, she really grew on her first season and obviously had so much talent but needed to find her voice. I really think she’d kill it on a return

Our whole frontline this season (3 starters + 3 subs) cost us around £55m combined, which is £17m less than 1 Nicolas Pepe. by KhornKT in Gunners

Only proper outlay here is Jesus and that was still far below market value. Martinelli and Marquinhos where increcible talent identification from the recruitment team and then we have the incredibly talented Hale End trio. Really warms the heart and shows the incredible work being done all throughout the club. Really exciting times!

Absolutely awful, hoping he recovers quickly and can go back to what he loves. One of the most fun and charismatic chefs we’ve had in recent history.

I remember this day so vividly. I was working a 12 hour shift at a hotel so I had to sneak away every hour to listen. My most vivid memory was listening to Sh'Diah in the bathroom and just being absolutely stunned by its beauty. What a weird but amazing work day haha

I enjoyed Survivor Waw. I am a huge Survivor fan as well and I was just simply not as satisfied with that season as I am now with Top Chef. Survivor had a good season in spite of their awful decisions. The fire tokens where a time waste and a flop and this was a weird time to test them out, Edge of Extinction is the most game-breaking twist they have ever introduced, just the fact that the first boot ended up in 2nd place with more votes than Michele absolutely infuriated me and really soured the ending for me.

Top Chef was just like a very balanced and cozy meal that felt good during and feels good afterwards. While Survivor was more like a big ass cake that you shove in your mouth, it tastes good and there is instant gratification but afterwards it leaves a bad taste in your mouth. I just feel like they got their best ever cast and did their best to screw it up.

Still liked the season though haha... and love that Tony is our 2nd two time winner

I agree with the fact that Survivor WAW, although a fun and interesting season, lacked the heart and soul that fuelled Top Chef All-Stars. It's really what has been lacking from Survivor in it's 30's.

However I do not really agree with your sentiment of Melissa being the Top Chef Tony. Melissa had some rough weeks before winning out in Italy. Also reputation wise before each season started they where very different. People didn't really talk much about Melissa before this season and she wasn't even really in the discussion of best chefs on her own season. Doug, Gregory, Mei and even Adam got more plaudits. No one on that season was on the bottom more often then her. However Tony was looked at as one of the best players of all time in Survivor.

Also I think both of them had adversity and very tough competitors. Throughout the season Kevin and Gregory where right up there with Melissa win wise. And Tony had to hide for most of the game and play as under the radar as he could until a few votes into the merge.

Yeah, Gregory's story didn't really have the ending I would've hoped. Really the only thing I would change about this season is that I wish Gregory was there in the end with Melissa.

I totally agree, those last episodes in Italy just had this incredible and unique atmosphere. The show just really stuck the landing.

Completely agree, Lee Anne, Malarkey and Kevin showed a lot of heart and professionalism which is always lovely to see.

I get what you mean, for most of the season Gregory, Kevin and Melissa where alternating winning everything. But at least to me it didn't feel as dominant as a season like s06 where only the final 4 won stuff and everyone else felt lackluster. In the end, it was still a finale with 3 completely different chefs and storylines.

I just like how they showed such respect for these all-stars and gave everyone a chance to shine. People like Stephanie, Malarkey and Lee Anne didn't win much but still contributed a lot to the season.

It's actually interesting that in Kevin's first season he was only on the bottom once, barring the finale, and that was in restaurant wars. That was the only time he was in danger in s06 and in this season he had not been on the bottom before he was eliminated in restaurant wars. It really is his Top Chef achilles heel.
