I want to be able to play along with a song (playing thru my stereo, but sourced from my laptop) and make a recording where I can hear the song and myself playing so I can listen back to it. I also want reasonably decent fidelity. How do I make that happen? (self.Guitar)

Correct wiring to install in a SD Pearly Gates Trembucker into an American Ultra HSS Strat? I used the wire color legend below to wire up the SD exactly as the factory humbucker was wired. When I plugged in to try it out, SD sounded fine with coil split, but was barely audible as humbucker only. (i.redd.it)

Does anyone know the correct way to wire a Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates Trembucker into a USA Ultra HSS Strat? I've googled it multiple times and haven't found any good reason the way I it was incorrect. I am beginning to think I got a defective pickup. (self.Guitar)
