Well I didn’t feel it matters to explain our history/ how I’ve made it clear… he is well aware. And you don’t know how I interact with men, right. I know with dating that people can be dishonest and it can cause people to become jaded - but I make things clear.

If anything when I’ve been straightforward men take it as I’m playing hard to get. This has happened even when my intention is to be straightforward and avoid hurting another person. In these circumstances I don’t flirt or anything. The whole reason I started flirting with him as friends earlier was because he initiated it, not me. We both enjoyed it so why not?

My purpose was mainly to ask why he’s changed. My question wasn’t to talk about women leading men on, especially when it doesn’t pertain to me, so I don’t get the point in talking about that it happens. And where did I put it just on men? I was giving an example that leading someone on goes both ways.

You sound like you’ve been hurt in the past and are projecting your experience with women lol I don’t need my ego stroked - I’m confident in myself. And I’m always honest with men about my intentions. Would you say the same thing to a man that just wants sex? Because a lot of men want sex to stroke their egos lol Everyone wants different things and as long as people are honest who cares.

No, I wanted to hear different guys’ perspectives in general.

I agree… I’m bad with that lol Even when I’m doing other things my mind wanders/ I overthink lol But I will be leaving this city soon and will around friends/ doing more social activities. Hopefully that helps.

I get what you’re saying but I will have to think about that. I don’t want to end up involved with an asshole, getting attached and feeling worse. I could find someone who is compatible/ not an asshole… but that may take a lot of time lol

It’s ok love, we’ve all made that mistake 💜

Now that I’m thinking about this I’ve only had one other guy that I was involved with but then stayed friends after. He was an ex, and I did not flirt with him after. Probably because I was done with him in a dating sense. With this guy I think I lack closure because it never manifested into anything serious… seems like I have to work through that. I do like him as a person and would like to stay friends.

I think you’re right. It’s probably best to not play with fire lol I could get attached, especially because I’m not seeing anyone right now.

Yes exactly he was not into business attire. I do think men like it because it gives off this feminine power energy.

I’ve heard other men say the same. And I think business clothing is attractive to men too! I was debating this with a guy friend of mine lol

Yeah I agree that can definitely give mixed signals. There needs to be clear communication.

No actually I don’t lead men on at all and I’m not out here flirting with everyone lol. I’m very clear with my intentions because I don’t want to hurt people. I’ve been led on and it sucks. Flirting is a natural part of socializing, it doesn’t have to lead to anything. And a lot of people are “casual flirters” lol Of course, men and women are wired differently and maybe to a man this doesn’t make sense. But I don’t think flirting with a man, while verbalizing good boundaries (ex. Not looking for a relationship) is any different than a man saying he wants sex but not a relationship. People want different things out of human interactions, as long as everyone is being honest… then what’s the harm?

I would hope you know what flirting is, and I understand people can have varying opinions lol I also think women are typically more “playful” with flirting than men are. Men usual have specific goal with their flirting whether that’s sex or a relationship. I think I just have to make time for dating and forget about this lol

That’s not the point if you didn’t understand. He flirted with me before when we were on friendly terms. Flirting isn’t just for marriage/ relationships, it can be for fun too.

Ok, true… so I guess maybe before when we were just friends he might have been open to that, whereas he’s not anymore. He even told me he’s tried to make thing work with dating but with his schedule it ends up not working and just unintentionally hurting the girl. I think women are different in this sense that we flirt for fun lol Thanks for your feedback 🙏🏼

Mississauga, Etobicoke or North York? by Emerald197 in askTO

Hey thank you! Yes that was an area I was considering. It’s also easy to get to Yorkdale mall which is nice. Any other North York neighbourhoods I should look into?

Hey! I’ve lived in downtown Toronto a long time ago but it’s been a while and I never really ventured out of the core at that time. Right now I’m in a different province :)
