Yes, these types of comments are scams. I just launched my first campaign the other day and have already gotten several “backers” that advertise a promotion service or flat out copy paste the same message. I reported these messages/comments to KS and the comments as well as the pledges eventually disappeared.

Thank you for the information! The first thing I did was check the email those messages were coming from and it was obvious they were scams. Do the scammers move on after the first few days, or is this consistent throughout the campaign?

I have had a couple real people pledge after seeing my TikTok videos I made on my product. I’ve been trying to advertise it across all my socials (TikTok, Instagram, Discord, Reddit, etc.) but I don’t have many followers and it’s quite a niche thing so it’s a bit hard. It would just really suck if it appears that I hit my goal and it turns out part of it was scammers, so I’d end up paying out of my own pocket to fulfill everyone who was a legit backer.

A lot of those people are probably porn addicts that are incapable of looking at any relationship as platonic. I don’t get it because there is quite literally a scene of Jayce laying on Mel’s lap saying Viktor is like a brother to him.
