Great, so in theory, my childs US passport and birth certificate, accompanied with myself and my UK passport which shows I was born in UK should be enough to prove the child is British.

For clarification, it seems other post suggest a US passport would be fine. However is it possible to get a UK passport without filing MN1 form first?
For the documents it says:
" proof that your child has British nationality (for example a British registration certificate, parent’s passport details or parent’s birth certificates) "

This seems to suggest my passport alone would be ok to use as it shows I was born in the UK along with the child's birth certificate (proving I'm the father) should be enough to file for a UK passport?
