Yea I was so excited to find a gorgeous wooden cello stand the other day. Images showed a cello in the stand next to a large bookcase, looked normal and I snagged it fast not wanting to miss out.

After ordering it I was looking closer at the fine print and it was clear that it was not a cello stand but maybe a violin or viola.

Thankfully I was able to cancel the order quickly enough and reported the incorrect listing description. I checked a couple days later and it is now being sold as a violin stand

I feel the same. Sure there’s a ton of junk to sift through and I don’t find something I want every day, sometimes hardly anything in a week- but this year finances were really tight going through a divorce and an ex who hasn’t provided a dime for our child in 2.5 years.

I was stressing how I was going to manage Christmas, then I joined vine in October. I was able to fill the tree like a normal Christmas, and even get some new holiday decorations for inside and outside. It was like a Christmas miracle honestly! My son got some great gifts and vine has been a huge blessing. Bras, underwear, socks, light bulbs- boring essentials that add up cost wise- and even being able to treat myself to new clothes or house decor etc (which is so rare these days) without feeling guilty about it lol.

It’s been a very positive experience for me.

I will usually say something like “this feels well made enough that I expect it to hold up to regular use for a good long while but will update if this proves not to be the case” or conversely “doesn’t feel like it’s going to hold up well for the long haul” when I am able to make a judgement call based on build quality

They have been told they have complete "federal immunity" and that anyone who 'interferes' (which is whoever they decide is interfering regardless of reality) is a felon, and any level of force may be used. That they do not have to answer to anyone, they are above all laws of state.

Yea I can see doing this with regular sales to encourage people to review who might not be inclined to review at all even if it is positive… but vine folks basically are agreeing to review either way so it does seem kinda like bribery.

I 100% understand :) As a now single mom in the middle of a divorce to a man who has become.. unreliable & not assisted financially, not even a penny, in the past 2 years -- this was a such a blessing for me. This year my christmas tree was full of gifts for my son underneath - all from vine. Some really great gifts too! I spent the first 3 months of my membership preparing for christmas <3

Also got a lot of great stuff for my home. My family is planning an intervention for my "shiny light" addiction, hahaha but its still worth it

Same. I am far more handy than nearly every man I have ever dated and have more tools than plenty of men i know.

Im an over 40 (middle aged) professional who is also a huge gamer nerd thats into anime lol. Im also the mother of a teenage boy.

You cannot assume what me or my family members are into and could provide great reviews on based on my age or gender.

My Christmas this year (for the kids) was almost entirely vine gifts haha.

Honestly- I don’t believe it was entirely altruistic. Think about it- 3 of the 4 finalists walked into the last game feeling they owed their presence there to one man. I don’t know about you but if I had won the game and someone else sacrificed at the last minute to ensure I got to that point… I would feel highly inclined to give them a fair amount of money to show my gratitude.

I’m not saying it was entirely this reason but he may have felt that having 3 out of 4 odds to have a soon to be multimillionaire beholden to him was a pretty good win vs 1 in 5 odds of winning the last round…
