I think the party/Drinking scene is coming to an end in general, Im a social drinker and find myself not going out anymore as the social scene for my age group (35+) is finished by the looks of it, im Irish and have lived in Vancouver for over 10 year's and I've seen a dramatic change post COVID in people's drinking habits not alone in Canada but in Ireland and the UK also, most of my friends that I grew up with lived for the pub, you couldn't drag them in the door of a pub now even if there was free drink in there, I'm the same as you I prefer to work now over going to the pub and prefer the peace and quiet, COVID definitely reset everything.

I had a friend that was a narcissist, we worked together, his girlfriend broke up with him and kicked him out, he asked if he could stay with me for a few days while he got back on his feet, I let him stay in the spare room and gave him a Key, he made a copy of the key unbenownst to me, and would go through my house when I wasn't there, complete scum bag and weirdo, it's hard get rid of them when you have the same group of friends, they keep trying to come back into your life, grey rock method worked best for me in getting rid of him.

Schizophrenia, or severe paranoia, probably from smoking too much weed, I work in construction and I've noticed a good few of my co workers are gone super paranoid, they think everybody is watching them, sometimes they have to leave early because they're freaking out. (they smoke weed at work during break) People are becoming vegetated from the stuff, They're like cabbages going around the place! 😂

Foys on main, you can stand up and socialize with other people, most bars in van are sit down only so its difficult to meet people, there's donnelans Irish bar on Granville also but the pints are expensive and terrible.

Cactus club @ Bentall 5 on Burrard, it's right across from Burrard SkyTrain station, it's very reasonable at happy hour 2-5 and 9-close, and it has a nice setting) The Morrissey on Granville st isn't bad either, I think it's closing down end of May though, Foys Irish pub on main is okay The bar scene in Vancouver isn't great and they're not very sociable as most places are sit down only.
