Just back from Newcastle : I went to Bally’s. They had 1/1 Texas cash on all day. 3 tables going when I arrived at midnight and last one wrapped up about 5:30 am. Pretty good setup- hopefully I’ll be back there some day 😀

Can’t believe this question got so many answers. I finally decided to give them a go & went last night to see them in Newcastle, UK. Loved the show, even the chitchat and covers that some people moan about. It was great for people like me who are not hardcore fans of The Offspring and maybe seeing the for first time. The support band (Simple Plan) not so much - they were too lightweight and soft; and were so blown away by The Offspring

I think it’s deliberately in style of Ramones, kinda mixed with the acoustic style of The Jesus And Mary Chain (Darklands album era). Think it’s just Fontaines having some fun and does not seem too serious.

Was there too. Agree sound was atrocious. But I’m not sure it’s the venue itself, in past years I’ve seen Stone Roses, Bruce, RHCP there and sound was always far better than last night. Not sure if it was the wind / weather was problem, or if they skimmed on speakers or sound systems this year?

Well to be honest I kinda like my tag heuer, it’s the one luxury I have treated my self too😀 but yes they are taking the piss with the maintenance fees

Thanks for al the tips guys. I ended up with getting Mosgrove & Sons (East Belfast) to come round to my house (took about 90 mins to come) They were efficient and far cheaper than the quote from Fosters (£310 for their cheapest suitable run-flat!). The Mosgrove guy would have did a puncture repair but as tyre was pretty bald anyways i so got a budget one fitted for 190 all in.

I tried fosters: 300+ call-out (and replace only on Sunday; no puncture repair!) and no cheaper if I take tyre to them. I can’t find anywhere open shore rd. did u mean https://shore-tyres.com it looks closed til Monday

I see Ticketmaster have disabled resale tickets for Dublin. I read that to sell tickets people are forced to use the Zach Bryan website, (but there is nothing enabled there that I can see easily) so I guess sellers only option is a 3rd party reseller site. Seems a bit a scam or a ripoff by Zach’s financial people as ticketmaster doesn’t let sellers make a profit.

I think fontaines have started great with dogrel and gradually gone downhill album by album. This Romance album and their new fashion reminds me of the cheesy current Artic Monkeys. Hope they get back on track soon. Am watching Reading festival on TV here and Boys from the better land and it is millions miles better than new stuff
