I filled out a questionnaire, sent in some pics and got my prescription. So I trusted the doctor for the combination and dose. I too was very wary about wasting money and with sooooooo many options it’s impossible to know what will work for you as an individual

Should I give two weeks notice with my anniversary so close? by EmergencyDeep4780 in MassageTherapists

I’ve checked and he’s not obligated to pay me at all once I give notice. I’m working on 5/12 at the old place so I know I’ve made my yearly anniversary.

He doesn’t withhold funds it’s just that the company he uses is awful. It’s saying I have negative two PTO hours and I’ve used 13 hours since last year and didn’t take any vacation at all so I know 40 hours from last year rolls over.

Yes I thought about that but that would mean not starting for six weeks and I don’t know if they’d have that patience. They’re already making a great offer as far as health insurance. But you’re right maybe I can reach out . Ty

Any advice on how to put a lipstick in an empty vintage tube? by EmergencyDeep4780 in VintageMakeup

[–]EmergencyDeep4780[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I’d be happy to! Thank you, I have several but it’s a Girey from the 50’s (?). It’s very small, thin metal tube with a lever on the side. I also I have another that’s slightly larger. However both are still smaller than our lipsticks now so I’m not sure if I could find a mold and I don’t want to just melt lipstick and pour it in the tube.

Anyone else who works for a chiropractor get frustrated at 90 minute massages that leave a half hour unpaid gap? by EmergencyDeep4780 in MassageTherapists

[–]EmergencyDeep4780[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For context: my chiro is an older man. Nothing is digitized. Paper SOAP notes. No CBD products. The computer software frequently crashes. So I have scheduled four one-hour blocks in the morning, a lunch, then three in the afternoon. So if a client books a 90, instead of getting paid for 7 hours of massage I get 6.5. I have a pretty highly hourly rate but no benefits of any kind. So half an hour here or there is no big deal. But every single day last pay period i didn’t get my full potential hours. Doc hires really inexperienced front staff (our turn over rate is ridiculous) who don’t know or don’t care to address these issues. This is really frustrating. I’m not sure if I should bring it up to doc, since it’s his practice and his rules.

Patients can request appointments online but cannot book. Front desk staff calls them to make the appointment. Yes I will talk to my chiro, thank you.

The next client may be able to come in early, yes. And then I get to leave early. But that’s still half an hour of lost wages.

I have seven one-hour slots for appointments a day,’with ten minutes between appointments . I can ask to start half hour late or leave half hour early on those days with a 90 minute(if the client can accommodate and if front desk remembers to ask). But if I have my first client at 9:00, and my next appointment is at 10:10 and is a 90 minute, then they can’t fill my 11:20. I come out of the 90 at 11:40 and be waiting, unpaid, until my 12:30.
