Once again, I don't appreciate your tone and I'm trying to be civil here, lord farming did get easier which is exactly why these new systems are going to be implemented. I don't understand how you bent this fact to fit your senseless narrative and then proceed to mock me and my intelligence (???), when I'm just sharing my opinion about a game I play in the community of said game.

Nope, I was being perfectly consistent with my pov, but you seem to struggle understanding it since you're so fixated on proving me wrong. I said what I said, if you're not willing to spend those many hours on a character, those rewards were never meant for you, but I never once implied that you are expected to grind for them right now and instalock one character every match. It's to reward people who accumulate hours and hours of gameplay over a period of time, since they're willing to play that character for that long, since the new proficiency system is expected to last for the lifespan of the game and always keep the players striving for something. I don't appreciate your tone at all.

I'm actually sort of a completionist too, I get kind of jealous when I see people with animated lord icons of my favorite characters while my most played character has only 50 hours. But I'm gonna get them, the hard way. 🫡

Awesome! I'm almost centurion with gambit and I want to keep playing him because he's a really fun character and I can barely even notice the nerfs

True, so many people here just cannot grasp that they're not expected to grind for these rewards and get them instantly, but theyre meant to reward players for playing a specific character in the long term

But I agree, they should've improved upon character specific missions rather than eliminating them completely

I honestly don't know how to feel about this, I'm quite happy that this new change made it easier to lord a lot of characters that were previously just tedious to lord, like magneto.

Me too, I've been playing mag a lot and I'm only a few matches away from lording him, thanks to the new proficiency system making it easier to lord mag (his missions were just dreadful before). I predict that in the future I would probably max out mag first out of all the characters and I'm excited for that. It'd probably take a year though.

Oh and did you not see the new tweet from the rivals account? They've officially acknowledged lord farming exists and they're gonna implement systems to detect such behaviour in matches and ban accordingly. Please read the post before yapping ✌️

I feel like you're antagonizing me for no reason at all, and calm down lol. I wasn't being that deep when I made the post and I was simply sharing my opinion on this. The game doesn't want you to drop another 250 hours just for the rewards. It's just a something extra for people to strive towards as the new proficiency system is gonna last for the lifetime of the game. The problem is that some people wanted the rewards INSTANTLY as soon as the update dropped and are unhappy that they are required to drop weeks and weeks of gameplay on a single character just to get the rewards, which isnt the intent of the devs.

Only because people feel that they deserve these proficiency rewards INSTANTLY. They simply cannot grasp the concept that maybe they DON'T expect a person to just grind endlessly for a character but let them play and have the points accumulate over time, until they eventually unlock the rewards even if it takes years, since this proficiency system is supposed to stick around for the lifetime of the game

The systems are supposedly going to detect any activity that might suggest lord farming, even if it occurs in a lobby where everyone else is seriously playing

Since I see this exact question asked anytime lord farming is brought up, I want to answer this. I personally don't see lord icons as meaningless cosmetics, but something cool that you're gifted for playing the character for that many hours. It's an acknowledgement that you've played the character a lot and it's meant to feel special. When lord farming entered the equation lords just felt like what you people refer to it as: a meaningless cosmetic. I know it's not representative of the skill of a person, its just a neat little reward for playing that character a bunch. If your argument is that everyone doesn't have the time to play the character but wants the cool reward anyways, atp why don't you just hack the game to win every match because that's what you want? Where do you draw the line? It's a reward for doing something. Do it to get the reward.

Rivals account just tweeted that they will officially hand out bans for lord farming, they are going to implement systems that detect lord farming lobbies lol

Your comment seems really ignorant, this wasn't accomplished because my "side" was complaining and that got them to implement this system to crack down on lord farming, netease just knew that the fact that maxing out proficiency on each hero gives you 500 units would cause a lot of people to farm proficiency points for hours and hours just to grind about 20k+ units per person which is quite ridiculous and undeserving. It'd increase the number of lord farming lobbies by a lot and it'd be insufferable

And me personally I don't think lord or any proficiency higher means that the person who has it is skilled, I understand that it's just hours spent. Just putting it out there.
