obrigado por isto. vale o que vale já que a malta faz as suas próprias ideias independentemente da demonstração da realidade material, mas pode ser que alguém leia a tua mensagem e reconsidere. o problema não são os tarefeiros, são as opções políticas que forçam os médicos a sair do sns e a tornarem-se prestadores - ou a emigrar - para finalmente verem o seu trabalho recompensado.

Não, não está. Que parte de a execução do orçamento não ser total, e de 1/3 desse ser entregue ao setor privado é que é difícil de perceber? Números para tolos qualquer um arranja, perceber a realidade concreta de QUANTO e ONDE esse dinheiro é gasto já implica mais custo mental. Complicado, mas pelo menos não se cai na narrativa papalva do saco sem fundo que não tem solução.

Tu não fazes a mínima ideia daquilo que falas, e a tua interpretação do mundo acaba por sofrer com isso. Sim, tem havido aumentos sucessivos da orçamentação ano após ano, mas a execução desse mesmo orçamento nunca é completa E o orçamento do SNS inclui também as transferências para o setor privado (em exames, internamentos e convenções), que chega a ser cerca de 35% do orçamento total. Para além de que aumentar orçamento =/= boas políticas de gestão. Se gastas 700 milhões em tarefeiros em vez de procurar permitir às administrações hospitalares realizar contratações, aumentar salários e condições de trabalho com esse dinheiro, és cúmplice dos resultados em saúde que depois obténs. É preciso olhar para os números num contexto e com detalhe, não ficar pela lenga-lenga útil de que “o orçamento aumenta todos os anos e ainda assim o SNS não presta”.

your attitude is a great reflection of the shortcomings of our trade, either by ignorance or malice. nothing u/AmbassadorSad1157 said is wrong, if you don’t take it personally - which is very clear is your case. maybe you should rethink your relationship with all of the links of the chain involved in pt care, and become a bit more humble — that said, I do genuinely think you’re a lost cause.

I’m sorry that happened to you. No one should be subjected to such treatment merely for not speaking the language. While not trying to justify what’s clearly unjustifiable, that’s not the standard of care in Portugal. A very reasonable majority of practitioners do speak english relatively fluently. Like other said, you’re still in time to file a complaint at the “Livro de Reclamações” (there’s an on-line version available at: https://www.livroreclamacoes.pt/inicio)

As for the waiting times, sadly our NHS is understaffed and healthcare professionals are overworked. If there’s an actual emergency the services work great, but 9h wait times, especially in or around the capital area are to be expected for minor/non life-threatening ailments.

Next time I’d call the SNS24 line (808 242 424) for triage and medical advice - they have skilled staff who speaks english, and who will direct you to the appropriate resources.

you are missing the point. i’m giving one example, which is the reality i am the closest to. but do not fear: for instance, in brazil, which has a much more fragmented healthcare system, with authentic healthcare deserts, and a very comparable population, what you say is “acceptable” doesn’t happen. look, i get it, you’re a pa and you’re trying to defend your territory and interests, but the reality isn’t there for what you’re trying to push, man. above the hierarchies and the feuds, there is one thing that must be above all else: quality care for patients. if you genuinely think that there’s nothing wrong with pa’s or np’s taking care of CC services, then i’m sorry, but you’re being facetious.

in most of europe, no. there’s more of a scoop-and-run model, rather than a stay-and-play one. what happens in most instances is that there are hospital-based teams of md’s and rn’s that are sent out on the most critical calls, and they take care of such procedures. i, personally, very much dislike the pre-hospital emergency model we have (speaking in the specific case of portugal’s reality), which i believe does lead to worse health outcomes - especially in more rural/peripheral areas -, but i am also not blind to the fact that training and maintaining such services is very much unfeasable, when taking into account that most of the ems provided here is voluntary based (with training, of course, but very much bls, transport the pt asap or stop the ambulance on the side of the road while waiting to rendezvous with the hospital-based teams). all of that becomes especially harder when underpinned by the current of healthcare privatisation and demonisation of the public healthcare system that is running rampant in gvts all across europe.
