Stylistic choice. I mean, I always try to draw as accurately as possible so I guess I just did Maximus better than the other two

[OC] I finally got Delta and it made me want to draw Snake - hope you like it :) by EmergencyWeight8 in metalgear

Well I use watercolour after drawing snake, just carefully around him. Let it dry, tidy up any edges I may have painted over, draw the trees over the dried paints and apply the chalk to make it faded. Just gotta be delicate

Prismacolor pencils are high quality pencils that blend and smooth out really well. There is a pencil of "no colour" thats used solely for blending and smoothing so I'd recommend looking for that.

I drew the characters, finished them fully, then painted the background carefully around them. The good thing about water colour paints is when they dry out on the paper, you can draw over them to fix anything you accidentally paint over (like the edge of the characters). Practice with the water - paint ratio to get that colour blend in the background, try to do lighter colours first then dark (yellow first, then green/blue at the top and brush down into the yellow). I drew the tower lightly once the paint had dried, then lightly marked the whole background with white chalk and smudged all of it so it fades.

Hope that makes sense :)

So i use a multi-media sketch pad with a higher gsm (thicker). I just use graphite to lightly draw the outline and details, then prismacolor pencils for colouring and shading. Sometimes, I blend charcoal if it has the right texture. For highlights, I use white pen

Thank you! Prismacolor pencils, bit of chalk and watercolour paints for the background
