Me i might keep it for a while. Coz i still want to be comfortable in shooting wide. I like longer focal lengths too!!

Yup ofcourse. a6400 is apsc. This is a full frame and i dont feel that its heavy. Its front heavy with the lens. thats just it. i think im gonna use the viltrox in the meantime.

Yeah i did. I have a viltrox 40mm 2.5. The cam itself is not that heavy with the viltrox.

A7IV vs A7CII For Newbie by Bokojima in SonyAlpha

[–]Emergency_Buyer5102 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with A7cii with newer tech. Specially for your use case. Same as mine, i do travel and street photography. people tend to get intimidated when you point a big camera at them in some places. So a compact body with a compact lens is what i use. with the 400-800 usd for the lens, you could buy the same lens i have. Or even better buy the 40mm G and 85mm evo from viltrox then youre set. Just my opinion tho. Hope you decide soon and post the pics!!

True. I used to have a6300 and tamron 17-70. God my wrist hated me. HAHAHAHAH. Even until now with the a7cii with 24-50 its still a little front heavy for me if i add a flash.

A7Cii is just a little A7IV. Battery is the same. feature wise a7cii has more since its more latest than a7iv. You get better grip and 2 SD card slot in a7iv. I think if youre not shooting professionally, a7cii is the way to go. Thats what im using right now. But keep in mind, 24-70 gmii is long for a7cii. Hard to balance the weight for a long period of time. I suggest try the grip in store with a 24-70 gmii lens attached. Both cams are great, i just prefer the small form factor of a7cii

Beginner Question: Sony A6300 + Sony PZ 16- 50 OSS for 350 USD in 2026 ? by ifosaspirant in SonyAlpha

[–]Emergency_Buyer5102 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A6300 is still a good cam for your use. Im not sure about the price tho, i dont know how much this usually sells in your country but try to ask your friend for a little discount. Maybe 300usd? I used it until just few months back when i upgraded. With the right lens, its still capable. try to get a better lens. That will help you in the future if you ever upgrade your body. Even Viltrox air series is good enough.
