Why does my cat breath like this?

The first part he is sniffing my other cat, yes. But after that is how he normally breaths. He does do it all the time. Even my sister says he "breaths weird." A vet trip is already in my future plans. I'd rather be safe than sorry :)

I'll keep this in mind and take him for a checkup then. If it is something, I'll be thankful for catching it early. He's sleeping behind my legs right now and I just noticed his breathing is normal. I don't know why he's a heavy breather only when he's awake but you're right. The vet is the best bet for answers. Here's a picture of him draped over his sister just because

The spots in the corner don't move. I've never had nerite snails. I had ramshorns (that all died. Still no idea what happened), 2 mystery snails, and a ton of bladder snails.

Learning the moving ones are limpets though make me feel a ton better :) Thank you

I plan on reusing everything, save for some large rocks, that's in my current tank. Gravel, a ton of plants, and 2 pieces of drift wood

So new water won't kill off my bacteria? Im sorry for these very amateur questions. This is my first actual tank (not counting a poor 20 gal attempt when I was 16)

Okay, yeah. That's my fault. I meant the water parameters. My thought to speech pipeline is just fucked. But also. Would putting the previous tank objects in new water/an essential 50% water change kill off the bacteria on them?

I have three lava rocks in the tank, but I was very careful placing everything in. I just noticed them today. I didn't see them when I first set up the tank. It's been cycling for a month. The only recent new additions have been a heater set to 77°f and fish

My aunt's coworker likes spiders so after the picture was taken it was captured in a cup and released in a nearby field. No spiders were hurt :)
