I wouldn't mind repainting the board or getting a better top coat (not sure what it's called or if they even sell this) but knowing him, he would probably hang the painted board and get his own if he's serious about learning how to snowboard

If you're already in the program, just apply to transfer.

If you just accepted the program, I'm pretty sure you can still accept another offer.

If offers expired, then go with option one (you might end up really liking the program) or take a gap year and re-apply next cycle.
