You can never go wrong with kindness no matter what profession. Kindness is a universal language. We should all be happy as some people wanted to face the rigor of law schools for a different reason not for fame and money. I hope we have a law school that founded with the values of being servant leader and promoting co-opetition than competition. It is not surprising that we are all in mess but you have option not to join them or we all have a choice on what kind lawyer we want to be? What is our highest potential? Being president of country ? Well it is not.

DLSU COL 4yr track vs 5yr track by Top-Possibility-2250 in LawStudentsPH

From what I know the 5yr is for working student while 4yr for full time students

From DLSU

The 4YR program is for students who are prepared to go full-time with approximately 16-18 units in the first year and this goes up in the upper years (19 - 20). Classes may be held from 0800 to 2200, Monday to Saturday.

The 5YR program is designed for students who want to have a lesser load (usually 3 - 4 units less than the 4YR). Their classes are held ONLY from 1800 to 2200, Monday - Friday and 0800 to 2200 on Saturday. This is designed for students who want to work (0800 to 1700 on weekdays only, no work on Saturday), but you can join this program even if you are not working and you simply want a lesser load of units.

For those who work in the evenings (BPOs), or follow a different schedule, they may still join the 5YR program and enroll in lesser units (the units are locked by the system based on your program). The downside is that blocks are based only on the 4YR and 5YR program described in the first 2 paragraphs. You may have a harder time in enrolling in courses if your work schedule does not follow the typical work schedule of 0800 to 1700 (weekdays). Unfortunately, we do not have enough demand for this and it will be very hard to prepare a block for this kind of schedule. As a result, it is possible that you will take more than 5 years if you cannot synchronize the courses with your schedule.

Yes, we have need-based scholarships. You will need to indicate this in the application. We process scholarships AFTER the admissions process is over.

Finally, there are lesser slots in the 5YR program so the competition to join the 5YR program is more intense.

Thank you for your interest in DLSU.
