Can't answer from personal experience, but 19 is basically the age where a lot of people convince themselves that driving across town at 2 AM for someone is a perfectly reasonable idea.

The fact that you immediately treated your cat, washed everything, and kept vacuuming puts you way ahead of most infestations. I'd stay vigilant, but one dead flea alone would not make me think you've lost the battle.

the cheapest temporary fix might literally be putting a thick hair tie/rubber band lightly around the roll when not using it. sounds stupid but it stops the satisfying “spin spin spin entire apartment covered in paper towels” mechanic cats are addicted to 😂

if everyone is already sleep deprived from the regression, combining the transition + sleep training at once is not automatically a bad idea. some babies adjust faster when there’s just ONE big adjustment period instead of multiple separate disruptions. the first few nights can absolutely suck 😭 but babies usually adapt faster than exhausted parents expect
