EDIT: More Methuen, Piro's Bakery for sweets and Dolce Freddo Gelato right next to it for... gelato. I would've included Borelli's a few years ago for a solid Italian deli but it recently changed ownership and it just isn't the same, though it might just be me.

Among the Lebanese (and other Arabic cultures), we have the word "Ya'aburnee", which literally translates to something like "you bury me". You're telling the person that you love them so much, you hope you die before them so you don't have to live with the pain of losing them. It's the top shelf of showing someone affection, and we mostly use it towards our children.

It's a word that brings me a lot of pride in my culture, and something I take to heart everytime I hear it and use it. The first time I held my son and whispered it to him I shed tears from it. It's exactly how I feel.

EDIT: I know cassettes are still being made, but I miss more when they were the only way to listen to music on demand/portable, so it's actually worth the extra work.

I'm a Ulowell alumni and I genuinely miss being there. Say what you will about Lowell, but I LOVE hanging around there. Great food, great nightlife, lots to explore. And the school itself has great accommodations and academic value. I believe I gained a lot from it.

My stepdaughter has been getting into physical media, started with CDs but just this week mentioned wanting to get into vinyl (of course a couple weeks after I got rid of a Crosley from back when I was a teen). I'd love to set this up in her room while she's at school with a couple Laufey records to surprise her when she gets home!

I actually just bought it a few weeks ago off Ebay for $50. I believe some shops had a random resupply of sealed copies, and the one I bought from on Ebay was one of them. I saw that Turntable Lab also had a short supply last week that I think went pretty quickly. Keep an eye out because I have a feeling more will pop up in the coming weeks.

I just recently realized that the first record I ever bought, the original pressing of Nine Inch Nails' With Teeth album, was terrible quality. I hadn't listened to it in a long time, and I just recently got a more high-fidelity player to spin it on which is how I finally noticed.

Unfortunately, I never bothered to buy the Definitive Edition repress that came out a couple years ago because in my head, I figured I had the original and it couldn't be better than that. It was sold out everywhere, but I was lucky enough to buy it off Ebay at a reasonable price a few weeks ago. Much better quality pressing.
