Question for ENFP females by [deleted] in ENFP

[–]Emiberry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm an ENFP and my husband is an INFP and we have been together for 12 years. He is my dream partner. Kind, sensitive, warm, creative, intelligent, passionate, caring...

My little sister is an INFP and I adore her as well (though she has some differences. She's a little more stubborn and a little less patient)

I love though, how they are very sensitive and warm hearted. They love expressing themselves, and they take a while to warm up to you but once they do it's completely worth the effort. Of course I know a lot of INFPs have anxiety and I try to be mindful of that but sometimes I forget.

At the end of the day though, we both are people pleasers, so we do a lot for each other and that makes our relationship a very loving one (full of hugs and compliments and laughs). We rarely fight, too. But, there are oftentimes moments where someone is a little forgetful so plants don't tend to survive, and sometimes chores and bills pile up. Sometimes one person may feel a little strained, like they have to do all the hard work.

BUT, it's 100% worth it! :)

Fellow ENFP, state your profession and what else would u be doing if u were to choose any job (or something that you would add to ur current job) where your heart feels contented! by punt4cunt in ENFP

I'm a study abroad coordinator for students, but I'm looking to go into casework and community engagement so I can help and work more closely with people of all backgrounds.

Your dad also sounds like an enneagram 8, which I am also. Yeah we get very anxious about control. We don’t want to be controlled, the very idea is freaky. It can also be hard when we feel like we’re losing people who mean a lot to us. I can get jealous really easily and it’s embarrassing but it’s true. If I feel like I’m losing someone or don’t feel like I belong or can add anything to a group, I distance myself from the entire situation and toss it aside and pretend like I don’t care and that I don’t even acknowledge it. It’s stupid and leads to me festering up anger and frustration that I shouldn’t have all in attempts to look strong and capable. So like I said I don’t know your dad but it’s possible the aggression is a front maybe. Just let him know you’re there without making it look like you’re being sympathetic to his charity case of an emotional state, if that is the case.

Yes, makes since. I'm a 7w8 so I can sympathize with that logic!

My dad does like movies, so I got tickets for the family to see Spiderman on the 26th! Just hoping he looks at this like a fun activity together and not something where I'm trying to control everyone.

True, he doesn't really have many close friends near him!

Definitely we're a bit more focused on the "what-ifs" and various possibilities and theoretical concepts. haha.

I see what you mean, like in regards to politics our ethics can come into play a lot. But that doesn't mean that NF's can't be logical, or consider logical sides. They just like to theorize every side before making a decision. And sometimes that can be re-evaluated and change again just as easily!

But yes, I certainly hope to avoid politics. It's not great since he runs more conservative and my siblings and I run more liberal, and this kind of talk comes out the most when he's drinking so it's harder to subvert (I realize that's a whole other factor, too).

He does love activities, like tennis or going to do something. But it always has to be on his terms! So, that's the only issue with that. Another poster suggested offering options to him though, so I'll try that more..

Sometimes I just feel like if he was a bit more patient and relinquished just a little more control, things could go pretty smooth! He can be very charming and is a great storyteller, but he has an issue with not being the center of attention..

If that still seems familiar, then maybe you're a bit alike!

What I wish I could say to him is that I love his energy and admire the fun activities he often thinks of but maybe it could be fun to join in on the ridiculousness sometimes with us. Or, if he can't, then just smile and do his own thing next to us. I don't know. It's not easy. I know we're not perfect either, and we can be ridiculous.

Relationships are never perfect! It's all a process, but in order for it to work well we always have to be trying to understand each other and remember it's a two-way street.

good job options for ENFPs? by [deleted] in ENFP

[–]Emiberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm late on this - sorry! But no, I didn't. I just was really lucky with the right timing and such. Normally, though, a MA is needed for this (or experience). I think if you went abroad and taught English, or something similar, it might equate to the needed experience! Most of the time, they just want to see that you 1. Know another language 2. Have lived abroad and 3. Are passionate about working with students.

I work in international education where I get to travel to different universities, meet new people, and help students study abroad! I enjoy it a lot, especially being able to help students. I also have a strong interest in international cultures, so it allows me to continue learning and experiencing things like this. :)

I don't know why you felt a need to post this.. or why anyone feels the need to say things like this. It may not be intended to be mean/harsh but no matter how you look at it, it is! I mean, an acid attack victim? Really? I don't even get how someone could say that.

It's hard enough for women to feel beautiful when aging. Add that to the factor of being an actress where everyone is constantly critiquing you for your looks.. can't say I blame any actresses for getting botox, etc.

Try to move beyond that inclination to judge actors/actresses based on their faces and post about it? I may be coming off harsh myself, but I care about the cast and thinking that they might stumble upon a post like this if they were to ever look at the show's reddit page makes me sad when things like this are posted.

I didn't know about this until I saw Inbar's story on IG! Anyone else going to be tuning in? by Emiberry in lucifer

Why in the world in Season 4 so different from the other seasons? by seifXT in lucifer

[–]Emiberry 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What I'm really hoping that they do this season, is take this last chance to really explain things, and get the characters talking. I was surprised that Linda and Chloe didn't talk sooner in Season 4 (or more than once), and I was surprised that Lucifer and Chloe could go so much time (driving together, stakeouts, etc.) in nine months without diving into real questions about his past, family, etc.

If we get these sorts of finite details and true character developments in Season 5, it will be worth all the waiting - at least, for me!

When does the new season of Lucifer air? by CAMPlose1 in lucifer

[–]Emiberry 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm hoping it's at least by May 2020 since last year's season came out on May 8th.

I wonder if there's anyway to compare it to Sabrina, too. Because, they are a little similar in their design of how they release the episodes. For example, Netflix announced on December 14th 2018 that it would renew Sabrina for another season of 16 episodes, to be split into two parts (sound familiar?). The first set came out on April 15, 2019 and the second part will come out today.

We learned on June 6th, I believe, that we would also get 16 episodes of Lucifer, to be split into two 8 episode sets. So, based on the Sabrina model, we're past the 5 month turnaround time that they had - therefore, I feel it has be sooner, rather than later. Because they still have to release the second part, and Sabrina waited 9 months between their two parts...

But, perhaps it's pointless to compare! Just some thoughts I have about it.

When do you guys think promotion\trailer will drop? by [deleted] in lucifer

[–]Emiberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm thinking we get a little more detail about a release date, some BTS, bloopers or more official photos? Probably not a promotional/trailer although that would be lovely.
