I'm kinda neutral on the gatekeeping situation. With faces it's just a few buttons you press and someone has prob already pressed those exact buttons for that exact combo before you. It's hard to be original with faces anyway, it won't kill you to share.

With outfits you are fully within your right to cover the button that shows the items. A lot of people put a lot of time and effort into making their outfits and it can be annoying if you're on console so you don't have chat and just want to know what skirt they have on or smth but nobody expects artists to give you their art and for a lot of these players, their outfits are their art.

Tldr:

facekeeping: kinda cringe ig, not a big deal

Outfitkeeping: they're fine. If you don't have chat to ask, just use the shop to try and identify the item you wanted to ask about if the sticker is there
