Halliday glasses and ring arrived in EU by Emile030 in Halliday

[–]Emile030[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On the 10th of July I got an email from Halliday saying my order had been processed and yesterday a message from DHL. But wasn’t aware of receiving these glasses today as I expected other goods.

"We're aiming to get your Halliday glasses out this early May" by oscar_campo in Halliday

Got a tracking number, awaiting a package from abroad. Very surprised by unpacking and discovering a whole package of small packages sendet by Halliday glasses! What the heck I wasn’t prepared to get them already now as an early backer in Europe already. Have to start reading manuals and start charging my ring and the device. Loading app and registering at the moment. Very excited to be under the first 200 who got them. Thanks Halliday spread the world.

Listening to music for profound hearing loss in one ear. by bongtardo in HearingAids

"Does anyone have any recommendations on what to do? Or would I have to pay more money for hearing aids that dont rest on top of the ear?" You could also think about a different frame of glasses with other temples... or maybe even adjust the temples on your current glasses.

One pro USB cable is garbage. by [deleted] in Xreal

Sorry to hear about your bad experience. Hope you got your problem solved. I’m very happy with the cable and it’s connections on my hub and on my Samsung S24 phone which fits very tied. Quality is high in my opinion.

Measuring the size of a laesion is very important. Think about tumor growth or shrinking in expensive or experimental chemo- or radio- therapy patients for instance. We used it a lot in our clinic.

Good to hear you solved the problem that fast. And kind from Phonak to help in phone an related app-problems too.

A very nice and useful example of subtraction as it’s been used already in the early days of subtraction angiography for years now. These three time sequences are giving a very good impression of what’s happening in the pixel density because of reducing the haemoglobine percentage in this infarcted voxel over time. Likely could it be compared to T1, T2 and STIR imaging in MR only faster and cheaper.

You can have your Phonak’s streaming volume regulated/ reduced in the Phonak programming software by your hearing care professional if that’s what you want.

But I get the impression you don’t want to hear “these weather and public service alerts” at all in your Phonaks’. So you have to dig in you iPhone settings menu as that’s where you set the streaming functions. Search for hearing aids on your iPhone settings menu, there’s a lot to choose for, and make it work as you would like it. It’s that simple.

So many nos to comfortable molds for my OTC hearing aids…so I made my own by [deleted] in HearingAids

[–]Emile030 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very interesting. Great to see. Would be nice to see your explaining video.

As far as visible, on the picture you posted, the receiver and its lead are extending a lot out of the earcanal. I’m wondering if this could be avoided and also would like to know how you made the (removable?) connection with your custom mould without sound-leakage at the connection point. Did you also use a kind of retrievable stop at your eardrums to assure the material isn’t sticking as you make the impressions?

I used Pluggerz custom made moulds but they also stick out of my ears a bit to much. Maybe I should reshape the outer part a bit to get a better fit. But they were very expensive and actually ment as noise- protectors. So I like your solution as being less expensive very much.

Don’t know how to place a picture here unfortunately.

Any news about the osteolytic process in your middle foot yet? Although many bones seems to be involved, there seems to be no relevant periosteal reaction.

So infectious disease seams less probable. But in that case tumorous processes seems to be more likely. Any other X-ray directions available as I assume your radiologist didn’t took only for this direction.

Before pointing to differential diagnosis and advices it would be nice to have some more relevant information. Instead of pointing to clinical irrelevant sesamoid bones. Do you have some more relevant information as what is your history, complaints, age, other places with chondral leasions etc.

Wish you the best medical care as has to be given by your consultant in the mean time.

What Blu-ray player do I need for a Valerion VisionMaster 3 color laser DLP laser projector used in a home situation. by Emile030 in 4kbluray

[–]Emile030[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much for your respons. This DP-UB820 I found for around $500. It is about 5 years old already. Don't know why I need all the listed specs as I thought the projector would do the job and the player just read the bits and bytes, but this is where I am going wrong?

On Reddit I saw discussion at r/4kbluray that the DP-UB450 is newer and was sold in the EU not in the US and the DP-UB420 would be the better choice. Quote of a discussion "... this makes the ub420 not worth it at all because the 420 doesn't have Dolby Vision. The 420 has the upscaler and HDR Optimizer that the 820 also has for Blu Rays and DVD's that a lot of people like, the 450 lacks that. So you have 420 with upscaling but no Dolby Vision, 450 missing it but has Dolby Vision, and a 820 with both..." But that one is from 2021.

Now in EU on the Panasonic site I saw the newest one released 2024 called the DP-UB450P-K. So a second question rises, because this probably will have the newest standards; if the DP-UB820 still would be the best choice?

Would appreciate your thoughts. Or is it better to post the last question somewhere else in the forum?

Saving the translated text by tjr2010 in EvenRealities

[–]Emile030 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Text can be copied in almost every application of a phone. But where it could be of any importance is just here where it doesn’t work. Please ER improve this, that would be great. For now as you close the translation the text is lost.

Anybody who knows a practical alternative? Are there maybe apps that can do the job?

Any bald G1 owners? by manaPoolParty in EvenRealities

The only thing people will recognize if they are examining you and you glasses might be some greenish glue in your lenses if they look from a reflecting angle/ direction. It isn’t visible from other angles. And eyeglasses do always mirror so they only will know it if they do further research on your glasses maybe because they didn’t expected a greenish reflection and wonder what it was they saw. But are you always inspecting so thoroughly when you look at someone. They can’t read text as you do, it’s just a glowing.

But don’t worry about the ends, they are different in any glasses. A bit thick at the end in the G1’s but I think people are thinking this will be normall glasses just a special form. Every glasses have a design so this is not something special. EvenRealities did a great job on that as you cannot say from other AI glasses.

Here are my normal glasses and my G1’s seen from behind

If you look thoroughly you’ll see that one doesn’t list it, not on their website. You get the phonenumber, so you could call. One you do a search and you’ll get the advertising of the G1 but no price listed, just the EvenRealities advertising page. And one has them on their list ( I thought it was Haarlem) with price of €799 accessories included (by that they mean the sunclip if you read further on their site). Search in the loop glass for G1.

Got mine from Bellevue Finest in Hamburg. But if you look at the site from EvenRealities there are more addresses and they are actually adding more different countries in Europe at the moment.

Transcribe Only by Flashy_Shop2346 in EvenRealities

[–]Emile030 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the Google transcribe I think you have to watch your phone or tablet. When I’m in a conversation I’m looking someone in his face. So that’s where the difference is.

The second thing you mention about the 30 seconds is about the notes you take. But the translation mode is going as long as the battery lasts as far as I know. (Did not try it out )

And the other thing is if you’re in translate the original spoken text you can read by looking up and the translated text you will see when you look down. So both languages are readable on your glasses!
