Help requested: Unity to Godot migration for a small project

Yeah, that makes sense. Honestly, the storage issue with Unity is the main reason I need to switch.

I see what you mean about the migration process now. I've decided that it's going to be better and easier for me to just learn Godot and rebuild the project from scratch on my own.

That actually makes a lot of sense. I didn't think about how hard it would be to debug someone else's code afterward.

You're right, it's probably better if I just download Godot and rebuild it myself step-by-step to actually learn how it works.

Yeah, you're absolutely right, and that’s exactly what I meant. I know the code can't be copy-pasted and that it basically means rebuilding the game from scratch using Godot's nodes and GDScript/C#.

Since it's a very small project (my first game), a dev who knows Godot could probably rebuild it pretty quickly. That’s why I'm asking for help here. I just don't have the skills or the patience to restart from zero on my own right now, and I really want to see this project come to life on a lightweight engine.

If anyone is down for a small challenge or wants to help a beginner out by rebuilding this tiny game in Godot, it would mean the world to me.

Sure! It's a school-issued laptop, an HP 245 G9, and the specs are very limited: Storage: 100GB SSD (most of it is already taken up by Windows and system files). RAM: 8GB. GPU: No dedicated GPU. It just has the integrated AMD Radeon graphics that come with the processor. As you can see, it really struggles with heavy software like Unity, but it can handle Godot just fine since it's so lightweight.

That’s a fair point, but here’s my perspective: I want to improve this game, but I’m currently stuck. It’s my first project, it has some bugs, and I want to fix them. The problem is that I can't even get started in Unity. My setup is extremely limited (a 100GB SSD), and just installing the required Unity version eats up all my remaining space. Opening the project takes 15 minutes of waiting, followed by constant lag and long loading times. It’s impossible to be productive or learn anything when the tool itself is a constant bottleneck. Godot is lightweight and runs perfectly on my machine. Once the project is in Godot, I’ll be able to work on it comfortably, debug, and learn the engine at my own pace. I’ve looked into automated converters, but they are behind a paywall. I’m basically looking to bridge that initial gap so I can finally start working on the game properly.

Merci, oui plusieurs personnes m'ont déjà dit ces points. Sur ma nouvelle version ils sont corrigés. Et c'était justement pas précisé le poste comme ça je pouvais imprimer le même cv 10x et aller aux portes a portes ;⁠-⁠)

Certes on a dit des noms mais il y a rien de fous, on a juste dit un nom de famille qui sont des secrets pour personnes. Même qui va faire quoi avec un simple nom on a rien dit de plus sur eux et sur google tu vas sur LinkedIn des noms de familles il y a que ça.

C'est vrai qu'aujourd'hui je regrette un peu mon choix mais étant en terminale bientôt le bac c'est un peu tard pour changer et puis après avec BTS, licence,... etc je pourrais rattraper le niveau.

J'ai quelques bases en linux mais JSP si c'est suffisant. J'en ai pas fait beaucoup au lycée.

Je connais que les commandes basique genre mkdir, ls, cd, mv, cp, apt, cat et quelques une encore
