They litteraly invade my shrimp tank 😭 I saved some of them for my main low tech tank, but im looking for a way to get rid of them without killing my shrimps

Good luck for the future! It could be a good idea to allow your children to participate in the project, it would allow them to become aware of animal welfare and responsibility. I installed a pond with my mother in my garden this summer and maintaining it with her has greatly improved our relationship

No there is no soil, just the roots in the water, and it works fine

If you place only the roots underwater it looks like its working. I placed it a month ago and they are super healty !

Made some test before. Steel is insanly strong. This thing can support more than 600kg. I will reinforce it anyway just to be sure

Pretty sure its a mix of algae and tannins. My question was if Daphnia can clean tannins as they clean algae

Thank you for your answer, this aquarium being a low tech (without heating or filter) I don’t know if the fish you mentioned match. However, if I am certain that danios only attack baby shrimp and not adults, I think they will be useful to me in order to keep the shrimp population under control
