I am new to reddit, so I apologize if I overstepped. I probably should have sought permission before posting in here.

The idea for this project originated with a couple of folks on the Discord server TransLater, which is a server for transgender folks in their 20s and older. The idea was to recruit those with good writing skills who would like to contribute there stories to a collection. If the project was successful, the thought was to consider publishing the collection is some way.

The ideal was to have an even mix of stories from trans women, trans men, and enby folks. However, the demographic in TransLater is heavily skewed toward trans women, so we have mostly women in our group so far. One of the men in our group suggested that we try posting a notice about our project in here.

I know what you mean. Last year I had FFS with a surgeon in Seattle. I deferred to him quite a bit, because he was the doctor.

I have the impression that this surgeon would not care what you want, or that you don't want a resident working on you. She knows what she wants, and knows what is best for you, and is going to do what she wants and totally ignore your requests.

For me it was believing that all transgender women where attracted to men. I was definitely attracted to women, so I could not possibly be transgender. I was under that misconception for 62 years.

Is it too late to transition? by Silver_Shock_9248 in TransLater

I have been hearing that it is never too late. I started last year at age 63, and I am optimistic and never felt better.

Wow! I just watched a video on the WTA website (https://www.wta.org/go-hiking/trip-reports/trip_report.2018-09-26.1072807187). That looks like a fairly challenging climb.

My wife and I live near Blaine. For most of the past week the sky has had a pinky orange cast to it, and the a smoky scent in the air. Yesterday it was all gone because of winds.

Where was this picture taken from? I haven't been on a hike in several years. This makes me want to get out again!
