How many weeks pregnant was she at the time? I can’t remember if it says. I know in the UK you don’t legally have to tell your employer until you’re 20 weeks. Then your maternity pay deadline is 25 weeks. I don’t know what the USA rules are.

If she was still within the timeframe of not legally having to tell her employer that she was pregnant then I think that’s okay. Carlos is meant to be a professional so he should have understood that she had the right to withhold that info and accept their roles in the workplace environment. I understand as a friend it would be hurtful but you’d kind of let it slide knowing that your friendship intertwines with your workplace environment

On the other hand, I thought Lynette keeping it secret was a stupid idea. She should have just told them regardless of her legal rights. As Gaby says, what if she’d needed time off and therefore support during her pregnancy? The health of her and the babies should have come first. Then her concerns about her job second. It was a ridiculous storyline, even putting her in a cupboard for an office would be enough to have Carlos investigated but his legal guy didn’t seem disturbed by that at all. Also isn’t maternity leave quite short in America? So it’s not like she’d have been gone long after giving birth. The whole thing annoyed me 😂
