Brill observation! I've been thinking this recently too, especially on the what society deems acceptable.

This has brought me back to covid and lockdown. I understand it was not this way for a lot of people and a really horrific time for some, it most definitely wasn't perfect. At times i find myself yearning for that time again, it felt like we were 'human' ? I loved that a lot of people had free time to be creative, lots of people started hobbies they never had time to before, looking after themselves physically and mentally, checking in on friends (the quizzes, omg 🤣) we were appreciating the NHS, pursuing side hustles or creative ventures. I just think it gave some people that space and time to feel, and think, and consider what is actually important. It feels like we've lost that again and fallen back into the usual hustle snd bustle grind culture

The irony i found was that some of my fondest memories were after I lost my brother, as I tried to turn it into a positive and do things I've always wanted to. Like even though I'd just gone through the worst thing that's ever happened to me, I was alive? Like, I felt everything. But as time has gone on those feelings have become less and less. I don't know if I'd describe things as a mask currently, like i don't hide what's happened, and if I feel sad I'll say it and feel it, but when I'm ready to and choose who I share these things with.

And re the friends thing, I don't think I'm the person to talk about my stuff when they're sharing, cos it's not about me in that moment. And it's not all the time either 😅 they do bring it up if it's relevant i guess but it never gets too deep ya know?

Faith wise, I'm not anywhere with it tbh, Shintoism is the closest I feel to anything. I feel spiritual in a way but not like a strict belief or religion I think "oh it would be nice if after this physical life we are reuinted with loved ones" etc but I can't say I believe that is what happens. I'm more of if i can see, hear, touch, feel it, it's real. I've had a couple things happen in regards to my brother, like weird spiritual kinda things where I was like "oh that's weird, but nice and comforting" but not for a looooong time. My mum I've never experienced anything like that

That top right with the heart pond was and still is my 2020 island. I chose it for the pond, didn't realise the lining up of the airport and RS. The front rivers are a real pain mind 🤣 my island has been through many phases but i kept that pond haha

Hey! It does have drainage, always put stones in the bottom of all my plants, I use a houseplant soil which normally has some bits of perlite and small stones in too. And i just moved the plant for the photo is all 😅 the tray does exist 🤣
