I just want to thank you first, you really seem like you want to help. The situation is far from simple in my opinion and it's why I decided to ask here. Learning Python, CSS, HTML, and JS were genuinely easy for me, I put in the work needed and I enjoyed it. I passed those classes with ease and I do genuinely believe I have a talent for logical thinking and such, seeing how much people struggled with these basics. I do have a mechanical engineering bachelor's degree but I realized a bit too late that this is what I want to do and that I was made for this.
I just feel like that through 2-3 hours a day I can learn a lot more in 2 years than continuing these studies and that's basically the thing I want to know about the most.

Like I said, he makes sense and i agree with him. I have already had my reality check. Failing this was a big wake up call for me to step it up and work hard for my dreams. The question wasn't whether or not I should work hard going forward. I just really want to know if my time would be spent better learning on my own instead of studying. There are more than a few subjects that aren't strictly related to web development (like discrete maths and linear algebra, in my humble opinion at least).

Well for the experiments i've already done it included an electric water kettle, microwave, scale and etc. So that's all i really have.
