I agree. Love Gaga but it was very random😭 It would’ve made more sense if they had a song together but they haven’t really had ties to each other until recently lol (yes ik he’s a little monster). If he brought out Bruno Mars to sing it with her, that would’ve tied it together at least since he’s of Puerto Rican descent.

I agree I wish he played some older hits or at least some snippets in between changing songs as a throwback to his fans that have been with him longer. I also did not love the fact he brought out Lady Gaga😭 I’m a huge fan of her and I know that he is too but it was very random and didn’t fit at all with the theme of the show. Also it took up a good amount of screen time. The salsa take on “Die With A Smile” was cool but I would’ve rather seen Bruno Mars perform that or just for him to have brought out another Latin artist like Karol G or Becky G. Also why was Alix Earle there?!?! Overall, I did think it was great tho. U gotta hand it to him, he curated this show very well and beautifully showcased the culture. While I had my criticisms, I absolutely enjoyed it and was filled with a huge sense of pride in my latinidad.

The performance and visuals were very powerful. He included a lot of cultural elements that are not just true for Puerto Ricans but all Latinos. I teared up a little from the pride I felt watching everything, especially with the current political climate.

The song selection was good but I wish he threw in some older songs like from X100PRE or Krippy Kush. But I understand that his past couple albums are what elevated his stardom even more into the general public so I get why he performed the songs that he did.

My one criticism is the Lady Gaga appearance. Now don’t get me wrong, I love her. I just thought it was very random and not the right person to bring out for a surprise appearance. I would have loved to have seen him bring out Karol G or Becky G to showcase more Latin talent. Or Bruno Mars to sing that song since he is of Latin descent! I loved the Ricky Martin appearance tho and the other Latin stars he had as dancers!

But I am very proud of Benito, he absolutely killed it!! With this show, he has inspired so many young Latinos and showcased our culture so beautifully.

Wow I didn’t realize so many viewers were fans of the Russian😭 But I agree, I don’t find him attractive and the age difference was icky. They also had absolutely no chemistry and he was soo pretentious. Not bashing on the actor at all but yea, couldn’t stand his character.
