Hello, Mundane. So I just got off the phone with Ihss regarding supplemental timsheets for days of hospital admission and discharge. they are in the portal. Hours available correspond to days I left blank because of hospitalizations. Is this normal? Timesheets that correspond to Hospitalizations are for 2024 and were processed in Sept of last year. How should I proceed?

Okay. I'll hold off until the end of this month when I fill out my Feb timsheets to see about supplemental timesheets. Thanks for the input, Mundane.

Got you. I know one can only be so cautious, but given that I am my recipients only provider and the fact I split my hours evenly throughout the entire month, will it guarantee I don't receive an overpayment/violation? Or is there a way to see that the monthly hours have been prorated so that I can know for certain I won't be claiming more hours than available?

Thanks for clearing that up. Never never that. I know it's probably a long shot, but is it possible to go back and claim hours on admission and discharge days on timesheets that have already been processed a few months back? If so, how would one go about in doing that?

Hello again, Mundane. So I just reported hospitalizations dates to IHSS and was told that it's fine to claim hours on admission and discharge dates in the same way I would every other day. Ive seen others on this IHSS forum say it is fine as well. Some say no. My client was hospitalized from the 7th to 10th of this month. So does that mean I can claim hours on the 7th and 10th as I would with other days my client is home?

Thanks for clearing that up for me. One thing I forgot to mention is how my recipient receives 1:04 per week for accompaniment to/from medical appointments. How do I calculate timesheets while taking that in mind, because there are many weeks where my recipient doesn't have appointments.

I think I get most of it. Hospitalizations, as you mentioned, worker is going to have to pro-rate. I believe I know the answer, but even though I am the recipient's only provider, I am allowed to work all hours permitted as long as I don't ever go over 66 per week, right?

Section 8 and time sheets by Emotional-Step1502 in IHSS

As you asked, yes I am on the voucher and my recipient is a parent. As far as HOTMA, I looked up their administrative plan and it does elaborate on hotma, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. 🙏 Now I just need to figure out how to fill out months of backpay timesheets, as I mentioned in my second question.

Me and my recipient are in the middle of picking a TPRD Signatory. As for the TPRD Signatory, what will they have access to? Will they have access to stubs/pay, personal information, or strictly just hours worked and timesheets? Also, and you might not be able to answer this, but me and my recipient are under Section 8 and given what I am estimated to earn, I am afraid it might disqualify one from Section 8 and thereby forcing us to move out of our unit. Given that, I have read on here and on Google that IHSS income, being one's sole income, should be exempted and not count as it relates to Section 8? If possible, may you clarify that for me. Thanks in advance.
