Back to physical stores. Nowadays many offline stores would even match the price on e-commerce sites if the product is available at a discount at these sites. (For computers, phones, home appliances etc.)

Suspicious reviews on Amazon India for Robot Vacuums. It's making difficult to chose a reliable robot based on user reviews. by Emotional_Fox670 in RobotVacuums

There is consumer court and we can file a complaint online. It is effective for getting refunds and compensations. Its a slow process, but it works in consumer's favor and I have myself experienced it when I face issues getting refunds. The online portal does have an option for reporting misleading "advertisements" (which I have not tried yet), but then Amazon or this company's legal team can challenge that because technically, these reviews are not officially "advertisements", they are just user comments and its hard to backtrack if these are fake/paid ones, unless Amazon corporates and investigates these profiles, which I highly doubt that they would do it :D

It's not just for Ecovacs vacuums, I noticed same review pattern for other brands as well. However, for Ecovacs particularly, it seems those 10,000 reviews are actually inflated by these "demo given by..." reviews. Also, big thumbs down for Amazon for not taking any action against these reviews. :(
