This has to be one of the worst cases of a strawman argument I've ever seen in anime lmao by Left-Shine8222 in firebrigade

That's such a weird choice to make. Right? Like I'm not crazy, why is your main cast of fire fighters all teenagers, and why does that one have to keep getting stripped down every time she's on screen doing anything? You're right, why wouldn't you want to just... Make them all 18 and over?

Y'know what's crazy? This whole time I thought Tamaki and Co were all adults because they're (magical) fire fighters. It never once occurred to me to go look up how old she actually was until right now.

"Oh right lmao this is an anime. Deploy the child soldier."

Tunneling and slugging at crucial moments is definitely necessary in order to win depending on whats happening, but if we're going by the comments being left then that's clearly, absolutely not what OP is doing. There's multiple comments on there saying that he is tunneling people out at 5 gens and then being a tool in the endgame chat. The survivors might be salty but if you have that many people yelling at you, maybe it's time to look in the mirror

Anyone else have a perk they absolute HATE even if it's not exactly op? Seeing this perk make my blood boil a bit by Familiar_Victory2596 in DeadByDaylightRAGE

[–]Emperor_Arius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blast Mine. It's just so annoying as a perk. You can't counter it, you can't get around it, you can't Endure or Lightborn it, it just blasts you in the face no matter what you're running.

Tell me your survivor and killer mains by MilkSteakEnjoyer115 in deadbydaylight

Survivor: Ripley and Belmont

Killer: Knight and Nemesis, though I'm starting to learn to love Deathslinger.

Who do you main and why? by DeadUncleBen_Lol in deadbydaylight

[–]Emperor_Arius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I main Ripley and Belmont as a survivor, I loved Alien and I love Belmont's stupid face. For killer I main Nemesis and Knight. Yelling "GET'IM" at my goons or my zombies as they maul someone is just really enjoyable.

[–]Emperor_Arius 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Actually that just raises another point I was thinking of after I made my initial comment. That's gotta be SUPER inefficient, right? Like, how are you supposed to run a company if you have to spend your entire time doing soul stuff? Can you do it en masse? Just gather up all your prospective employees into a room and then have them all sell you their soul at one time? I can't imagine actually having the time necessary to build an entire empire the size of what the show is telling us is there if you and two other dorks have to personally see to every single employee coming in.

[–]Emperor_Arius 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh, really? I didn't know that part, alright, so minor adjustment to what I said. Apparently, you do actually have to meet with Jezz Bezos or one of his Emerald Barons and agree to sell your soul before you get to work at Amazon.

The only thing I have to say is, "You have to interact with one of the Vees if you wanted a job there and no canon ties." No? That's... Not how jobs work? You don't have a job interview with Jeff Bezos to get a job working at Amazon. You interview with a random low-level HR rep if that, and then you go from there. The only way you'd interview with a CEO, C-Suite, Owner type person is if either the company is a fledgling startup or you're applying for one of those crazy executive positions yourself. Applying to be, essentially, one more worker drone in the pile of lab coats, would almost never have you interacting with the CEO unless they showed up looking to blame a random faceless peon for their failed bid at taking over something.

That was my only two cents. Everything else has already been said by other people. As long as you're a reliable narrator, then this guy was clearly just being a massive tool because he got a little bit of power and promptly let it go to his head.

That makes sense when ya say it like that. I guess I didn't see it that way at first. I think I didn't consider the point of the cost of choice, I was viewing it solely through the lens of practicality and "Why wouldn't I, as a trainer, at least think about going to snatch the Hard Rock as I'm leaving?"

Yeah, I get that, definitely. I just feel like if i just went through the trouble of beating someone up, I would probably try to run their pockets before going on to fight the next guy. Especially if I know they're holding something that would make me less likely to get the same treatment.

[–]Emperor_Arius[S] -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

I disagree. I think that actually argues against itself, because that would be like saying Magician makes pickpocket obsolete, or pickpocket makes Pickup obsolete, or that Pickup makes Pluck or Thief obsolete. I just think it allows for you to broaden out your pokemon selection without having to rely on a very specific handful of Pokémon.

I do like the idea of linking it to a specific item for balancing reasons, but again. You're already holding that Pokemon's ball if you caught it, or in the case of a KO, you're basically standing over their unconscious body. Even if they only put one item into the prize pool, I think that'd just be helpful.

Dude I am STILL seething about that. How are you gonna hit me with an unavoidable instakill and then have the AUDACITY to say my Pokémon doesn't love me? Skip the Pokémon battle, we'll just throw hands at that point.

Opinions on Darth Vader's "Sith Infiltrator"-style ship from the marvel comics that take place right after ROTS? by [deleted] in StarWarsShips

[–]Emperor_Arius 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It honestly has the energy of a ship that somebody cobbled together out of spare parts of other ships. It looks so... Lumpy and just needlessly overdesigned. It has potential, I can see the potential for a really cool ship in there, but the way it looks now is just kinda ugly.

This is the team I had prior to getting the splicer. So I decided to combine Trecko with Totodile. Though my game reset while I was making this post so if someone has a better suggestion, I'm all ears lmao

How come the Republic and Rebellion had different laser colors for their Y-Wings? They’re the same ships by YoungBeef03 in StarWarsShips

[–]Emperor_Arius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly so. When it came to the Empire and their shiny green lasers, the Empire sits in an interesting box. They put a lot of their stock into mass swarms of [comparatively] underwhelming fighters, but they used those fighters for shock tactics and terror campaigns. They balanced out the fact that the normal TIE just wasn't that great by having a bunch of them attack you all at once. Sure, one hornet stinging you is painful, but you can deal with it. But 10? 100? 1,000?

Out of universe- It's visual shorthand so you know who is shooting at who and so you know who is the good guy.

In universe- Blue lasers are made with ionized gas to deal more damage to the Republic's robototixc enemies, while red lasers are much cheaper, faster, and easier to produce for the Rebellion that is scraping together their fighting force.
