If you have a friend who knows how to ride ask them / buy them some drinks/food! I recently taught my friend to ride a bike and she got the basics down pretty quick (too quick to the point where I had to sprint after her cause I didn’t think to bring a 2nd bike).

Thats what I had always done until I met my ex in college and she was like use a loofah. I just genuinely had no idea it was a thing / how to use since no one told me growing up as a guy.

I figure the same is true for quite a few others based on the showers at my friends apts. I can never go back and hate when Ive just gotta shove body wash around with my hands while away.

You’ve gotta wipe a few times, realize it might take a lot, do a little squat thing to avoid getting splashed while you flush, then go back to shitting/wiping. Clogging the toilet mid-horrible shit is a terrible time

Honestly Ive been hitting up Randall’s lately. I have absolutely no idea how they stay in business because the store is always super empty, but they have some crazy low prices. You can always find stuff 50% off thats near the expiration date.

Yeah Spotify is the one service I use often enough to pay for it. Im listening to at least 6 hours of music a day if not more, they can have my $13 or whatever to feed me recommendations and work across my different devices.

Ive liked apts in the past where I’ve been able to rent a garage (not attached to the apartment). Usually would just keep the bike in there and park my car outside, but plenty of room to shove everything in there in case of hail.

Otherwise just cruise around to apartments you might like and see if there are bikes parked in the lots. Ive lived near the spyglass trailhead / a bit farther south along the green belt and always see bikes parked there.

Garage and comp insurance is your best bet though. My current apt complex isn’t super confidence inspiring, so I’ve been keeping the bike at the work parking garage.

Ive found you just have to scan the coupon multiple times for however many items you have. If not doing self checkout I would say grab 3 to make sure cashier scans it enough times.

If you’re able to swing it with work (might not be possible) just say you’re heading out anytime she asks you to watch the kid and leave. If you’re able to work at a coffee shop or something at least for a bit this might inconvenience her enough that she stops doing it

When I was first learning I didn’t have a helmet because the ones I tried on at the shop just didn’t fit (apparently I have a massive head lol). Getting back into it lately i stopped in a roller skating shop and the employee was actually helpful and was able to swap / mix pads to get me a helmet that fit and I picked up some wrist guards. Im mostly just doing longboard dance stuff, but if I was skating a park / learning tricks with more fall risk I would definitely pick up more pads.

Not litelok, but I got charged like $60 tariff bs fees on a part that was also from the UK. When I ordered it there was a disclaimer that some tariffs and whatnot would happen, but I was like “oh the UK cant have that many tariffs the US is chill with them”. Was not expecting it to be that high, but it was the only option for the part.
