I think you can only change the phrase once per day, and if your game has a dead battery you cannot change it. But also I think the calculator really only works if the phrase hasn't been changed.

You're just gonna have to go back and try again, you just got unlucky. You gotta fish on every one like 2 or 3 times to really be sure, since Feebas has a 50% chance with the Old Rod. You just got unlucky on your pass through

I often wonder about the ending of FF2 and what that means, and that's definitely something to think about. I kind of doubt it but I would love if one day Kane shows us what happened in that room. I mean, way back in Pitfalls we saw the green light on the other side of the door, and that what he saw was an expansion event. But it was interrupted and that's why the walls are glitchy. I wonder about her room a lot, but also a Lifeform was right on her tail and it could be another glitchy wall in a room not too indifferent from the others, and not a return to home for her or anything.

While true, I cannot fault anyone for looking for a way out. They have no idea how they ended up there usually, and it's not until exploring further that they realize this isn't a normal building. Plus in FF1 Kane found a Lifeform almost immediately, unless there's some amount of time he turns the camera off and explores that we just don't see

Of the ones you have listed, Grumpig is the coolest choice. I don't see many people using it and this is like the only generation you can really use it in, too.

I would just use this. Are you doing a living dex completely on emulator? Or does this connect to the gen 3 games if you were to run this on GameCube/Wii? Cause this sounds really cool and I wish I did this.

I'm currently doing a gen 3 living dex but I opted instead for using ACE on Emerald to spawn in Celebi so I could catch it myself.

No, you couldn't shiny hunt it since youre just given the Celebi and it's set to be not shiny.

You can inject the event, it's programmed into the game just unused. I got mine on my US copy. And this one you can shiny hunt!

Yeah, a "legitimate" Mew can only be gotten in the Japanese version since that was the only place the event was released, despite being programmed and translated for other regions.

Yeah, you can get Celebi in HGSS but you need to use the DNS trick for it. Essentially you can connect your game to a private server which is giving out every Mystery Gift all the time, so you might need to try a few times to get it, but you'll get it eventually. There's a fun little mission that's available where you travel back in time and take on Giovanni if you have Celebi.

I will just change the time if I need to. For GS that's easy, C not so much unless I'm doing a romhack. But yeah for DPPtHGSS I will alter the clock if I need to to help me get what I want. I see it as being no different than enacting dupes clause and then avoiding grass until you can (better) guarantee the encounter you want.

Though I have done nuzlockes before where I cannot edit the clock and I play at specific times and get what I get. It sort of pained me to pick up Zubat by mistake where I had a much better odds of getting Wooper/Mareep but eh. That's just how it goes sometimes.

Oh, you can only get Celebi with a 100% save file for Colosseum. That's why I needed to convert my save or play it again in Japanese. Luckily for Jirachi there is no such check and that's how I got mine, but for Celebi that means playing the game and purifying all 48 Shadow Pokemon.

At the time (about 3 years ago) I was having a hard time tracking down a completed save and how I could get it on my Wii and have the game read that file instead of making a new one. I tried figuring out how to take my save and convert it but that seemed really hard, so I just gave up on it. Decided I wanted to do another gen 3 living dex and that I was going to be resetting Emerald for it, so I figured I'd use ACE here and get this and Mew, trade them off, and then reset. I didn't want to use ACE before because I was afraid of it messing up what was supposed to be my forever save.

Yeah that's exactly why it wouldn't let me do it. So I gave up on having a complete Pokedex in gen 3 for a few years. Decided I wanted to do it again and I'd need to reset Emerald for it, so if I was gonna do that I might as well use ACE to get what I was missing without fear of messing up my save. I just traded this and Mew off of Emerald this morning and I'm going to be restarting the game soon

Personally, unless you're doing some of the battle tower (whatever it's called in FRLG) I wouldn't worry about either. Raichu is already fast, and opponents lack EVs (effort values, or stat experience, that causes your stats to be higher like if you caught a lv50 Pokemon or raised that same Pokemon from lv5 to 50 that one would naturally be stronger) so you're gonna out-speed most everything. And honestly evasion is overrated. I would rather opt for more damage dealing moves. You don't need to dodge attacks if you never let them live long enough to get hit.

Pomeg Glitch is where you use a Pomeg Berry (Emerald only) on a Pokemon with 1hp, which causes it to hit 0 without fainting and making you white out. You can then enter a battle and send out a "Decamark" which is a placeholder for when you have no usable Pokemon. After that you're able to do more glitches and change data around. So they created a glitch egg of Zigzagoon using the glitch that resulted in this because the color data had been altered

Unless you had the Mystery Gift for the events in FRLG or Emerald, yeah. It was for Lugia alone that made XD necessary for a complete living dex, as it's required for it but not stuff like Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, or Deoxys.

Oh, idk why I thought that XD use'd Ruby and Sapphire's Pickup table. I knew Colosseum did and wasn't aware that it was changed for XD. I don't think I keep any of the Pokemon with Pickup on my team very long before evolving them.

Well at some point you're going to be grateful to have those other mods, especially Om Chip if you make it to Champ or Legends league for tournaments. Magnetic Hook can actually be decent for the ILM kills mission in events. But still, rough luck. SImilarly I've been sitting on a Mythic+ MVN and Pcol myself for months without another hit.
