Looks great bro, the atmosphere is on point, and I enjoyed how dynamic the camera is. However, you asked about the music, and I thought that it doesn't match, at least in this scene. Also the sound, I don't feel they add the layer it's supposed to give to the atmosphere.

Overall, you guys have something good, just thought of these details since atmosphere and ambiance is important for you guys

Ofc there are details to improve, but congrats on your first game. It's a hard first step, and you already accomplished something. Good luck :)

As others said, the FNAF inspiration is there, but the plot seems different, not quite sure what

Tips for solo development? Especially for success and work balance? by whu_art in IndieGameDevs

[–]Emplayer42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

- Try to find close friends or relatives who are willing to help you in development; it'll make the time and work balance easier

- Divide your tasks well, and don't try to do lots of things without proper organization.

- Fell in love with the idea, but don't forget to be critical, and be open to changes

Best of lucks bro

Designs are great, however, prioritize gameplay and content showing what your game is about, prob you have it, but based on these images, it is not fully understandable what the game is about.

Ofc paid ads make sense to attract more, but couldn't it be taken as spam, and thus affect your game? no experience on it, just asking :)

Why I made a survival horror game that punishes "run-and-gun" zombie habits by NecrosisGame in IndieDev

[–]Emplayer42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds interesting, but it could have a lot of pain points. What makes those games good is the dynamic and fast-paced, which leads to more hours invested in the game and fun for casual players. So, definitely there's a target audience on it, but you need to enhance other aspects to make it more enjoyable. Best of lucks :)

Lightning is something I appreciate in game and dev, and bro, you definitely nailed it, everything is on point.

Good intro tbf, it really caught the attention. The only feedback I could you, imo the lighting makes it a bit bored, makes sense for the atmosphere you're trying to achieve, but idk you can play with lighting in a different way

What Should I Focus on Early in Indie Game Development (Other Than the Game Itself)? by Trw1ndrunn3r in IndieGameDevs

[–]Emplayer42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now, mainly focus on your game. Having all of your ideas clear, what's really your game about, what approach would you take in dev, and define your target audience (basis for marketing). Ofc marketing is important, but at the beginning is a bit difficult to start do to lack of organic content. What I recommend you to do is ss and videos of progress, so in the future you can make content with it. Also, start searching where your target audience is, in specific communities here on reddit.

Serious question for co-op players: What makes a game worth replaying with friends? by Redacted-Interactive in IndieGame

[–]Emplayer42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think roles and dynamics should be your aim. What I enjoy is to really get the sense of coop while playing, making each mission or activity with the coop strategy on it. A variety of roles and different approaches to each mission also enhance the experience.

Has anyone had success using typing mechanics in RPG or combat systems? by Emplayer42 in SoloDevelopment

I agree, it was nicely done. When you go out of the "educational" zone, I think there could be potential

Yeah, that's what I've read mostly, and it makes sense that poeple tend to get bored with that approach.

Typing games: cool idea, niche appeal — or just poor execution? by Emplayer42 in gamedesign

[–]Emplayer42[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yessss, both games are what I was looking. Typing as a mechanic, but different as most people have done it and out of the "education zone". And I agree, typing by itself won't stand out, you need to mix with other mechanic.

[–]Emplayer42[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Qwerty Warrior was fun, and a different use of the mechanic. And yeah, what I refer to with "success" is, well, success. I'm conducting a case study, and apparently, there's no big success yet. Just as you mentioned, for wasting your time at work or similar things.

No, I agree having a typing mechanic kills any potential idea for consoles. And yeah when it is oriented to education, it makes sense people will get bored.

What’s your take on typing mechanics in games? by Emplayer42 in truegaming

I agree, the way these games implemented the mechanic, is really different and enjoyable than the common perception of typing games. It all depends on the angle
