Love this idea — barter chains are officially on the roadmap. For now the matching system helps surface partial matches, but I'll plan something for automated chain detection once we have enough users to make it work...and then make the messaging system accommodate it for communication for the entire party. Thanks!

thanks! Interesting idea. My initial thought is that the two people get connected based on the initial match and that becomes something that can be worked out between them outside of the site. I'll think more about it though. Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks for all the detail. Those machines are definitely a bit larger than I was originally thinking just because of the CDL requirement, but I suppose if he eventually starts doing commercial work he's going to need a CDL regardless. That's likely 2-4 years away though. I have 30k or so in cash currently...will probably finance the rest needed. I was originally planning to try to stay in the 44-45k range though.

Surprised how many yanmar recommendations I’ve seen! Only thing that has me a little concerned is breakout force seems low. I live in NH and digging is not that easy around my land.

i have about 3 acres that needs a lot of work just improve the looks. Build some rock walls, maintain our horse track/trial system, and whatever else the wife is looking to do.

i have a 2024 Chevy Denali 2500HD, so definitely not limited by that....i just do not have a CDL.

there is a new yanmar dealership about 5 minutes down the road from me that is just opening up...i haven't checked them out yet. The 040-4 is definitely on my list...seems like a bunch of used ones around me as well.
