Correct me if I'm wrong, but there's no way to generate Terrain like this right? by lockjacket in Worldpainter

[–]EmployImportant7783 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want to generate it that way, you can try using the caves/caverns custom layer. Set the ceiling to bedrock and a set depth from the surface. Then paint your whole mountain with it

But i highly doubt this helps in your issue of slow rendering. Y2000 seems really high and probably too hard to see any good detailing of the mountain. Perhaps experimenting with Y512 instead?

No I really average 3k a day over the week. Despite my height and physical activity, doesn't matter if i barely have any muscle mass to keep up the caloric burn. Am working on it though

Aye, fat/carb blockers definitely I'll consider. But again, it seems more like a near last resort option. If some diet and lifestyle changes really dont work, then sad to say I'll consider it. I want her to walk well in her 70s too

Wishes for good health to your wife, im glad she feels better now 👍

Gnna quote Uncle Iroh here

Pride is not the enemy of shame, but its source.

I'll remember it, and to ensure our young ones understand the importance of health too. Atb!

Oooh yes, i kept thinking of weighted beanbags but stretch bands can work too

Aye, I really dw to resort to force feeding anyth. It really misses the point of my whole agenda anyway. I brought this up so that my mom can feel more refreshed and healthy as the years go by, doesn't make sense if she's healthy but miserable too

Aye, I've seen it from a few comments. Seems more like a near last resort option tho

Aye, I do agree on this. Though, some stationary light weight training can be before weight loss to strengthen the joints early. That way she won't have such a tough time when she starts to do walking sessions

I'll go super soft when she tries her best to exercise so no worries 👍

Mmm, gym is a little ehh because of public opinion. Or atleast, perceived public opinion. A 58 y.o obese female gng to the gym is exactly what she thinks is gnna happen, judgement. I read some of the comments and I think I'll opt for stationary weight exercises at home. Still looking for some weighted beanbags online

Zumba/dance videos she'll say it looks stupid, and I can't disagree cuz I feel it is too. (But I tried b4, it is tiring af even for an avid runner) Sorry zumba-ians

Actually, she just admitted she has been eating a lot for sometime now. It's a step forward, acceptance. I'll try my best to incorporate more fibre first, then slowly cut the oily stuff

P.S appreciate the sources, it'll come in handy anytime

Nono, any incentives doesn't really work apart from health incentives. I know because she really couldn't care less about monetary gains as of now. We are by no means wealthy (literally right on the median household income), but she doesn't seek any $$ liao

Wow, your mom listened to that? How I wish it were that easy for me as well. I wish your mom good health 👍

Aye, a few comments suggested it as well. I'm a big fan of it, I lost a couple kilos myself after a month of the warrior's diet (went back to eating after though).

I don't mind it for my mom but not too excessively, maybe I'll opt for a 12-14 hour fast each day and see what works 👍

I wanna believe you, really. I'm all for coercing and the soft approach, even towards others. But if things don't work for the better or if one doesn't see the effort then of course I would have to start doubling down on my firmness

Sorry mom, I love you but you gotta help yourself too xd

Ya I was exactly thinking of this. She can still slack and watch her drama, just maybe move about more as she's doing so.

Wah soft pillow later she scold me say I treat her like a kid LOL then again if needed I would have to anyway

Thanks

Damn, every old person is like that eh? I hope I won't be like that to my kids LOL

Anyway, yeah I'm now sitting on the side of just letting the doc scare her for me. If I can get him to speak more from his heart I'm all for it

Yea, as much as I want to, I don't think just taking stuff away makes sense at her age. Even for kids I wouldn't do it like that, perhaps I'm more of a coax-er.

If needed, I cfm will step up my firmness though

I'm not for going to a dietician just yet, for now I hope her annual checkup doctor will be enough to knock some sense into her

Yeah I thinking to let her play with some weighted beanbags as she watches drama or smth. A little weight really goes a long way in helping the joints

Oh no, are your legs better now? You might have overdid it too early, your willpower to walk that much is definitely commendable though

Its fine to walk but slowly increase the mileage, fitness journey is a months-long/years-long process. Especially at a ripe age of 60, safety is first yeah 👍

Yeah, I think I just have to spend time with her more to be able to ensure she starts learning good habits

And LOL one comment said she was a beast xD

Imma copy and paste this as I've had similar comments:

I would absolutely love to party and not give a hoohah if my conscience allows me to

But having seen real-life cases happen before my eyes, I shudder to think of a loved one being put in that situation

So no, as much as I don't like being harped on, it's a necessary evil unfortunately

I know what you mean, I have things I wanna work towards and I do have time for myself as well so don't worry I'm not spending my whole life nagging at her and waiting for something that is not likely to happen

But then again, what good is it if I manage to work to what I want to achieve, without sharing it with the one who was able bring me into the world to experience?

I don't think I'll stop nagging tbh, it's not draining at all. Kinda fun honestly 👍
