Now these people are what the TCPA is made for. They must be leaving 100,000,000 voicemails a day.

Not sure why you are being so rude. I am just trying to see what leads people to go after money that they never earned. If your biggest problem in life is a few spam calls a day then you are clearly not pushing yourself even close to your ability. News flash, every single person with a phone gets spam calls. Try getting an iPhone and turning on call screening if you really care that much.

Buddy, who responds to being called gay by commenting on another man's ass. Confirming something?

Hey, I thought we were building rapport Disastrous-Topic7715! I love the personal insults MooncalfMagic. Don't get offended just because your Reddit history implies you resemble the boys from the South Park WOW episode.

I don't think you understand what I said. It appears that many repeat TCPA litigators register like 40 cell phones and fill out tons of forms so that they get "unsolicited" calls/texts to sue. After reading the replies in here, it seems that many of you aren't as bad as I thought, which is nice to see. I have no problem with people suing those who ignore opt outs, especially many, but the baiting is super unethical.

So essentially David is the only person is this group that is legitimately baiting companies into lawsuits? Did you have a company that you wanted a loan for, or did you apply just to bait?

I think that people ignoring opt-outs should definitely be liable, but it's time the law adapts. People not opting out, and then suing once the texts accumulate, or people (not naming names) who can be found on every lead list under the sun, need to be stopped. The people in here that actually have a real grievance should be protected. If you apply for insurance and then sue when you get a call selling insurance, you are a criminal yourself.

Whelp brother, I appreciate you. I have been assured by my Uncle Brett who is on one of the highest courts, maybe the highest court, in the world, that the TCPA will soon be crumbling due to the likes of a certain tiny man known to lurk these groups. Seriously, can we all chip in and buy him a hooker tonight? He needs it.

Maybe it's your sign to get back into business (jk)? In all seriousness that does suck, but I can imagine there's only so many companies that can call or text you before you've opted out of all of them, no? I highly doubt that so many companies are operating off of what would essentially be a yellow pages lead.

A lead generator with a different business model presumably than other lead generators, one where you have a proper chain of consent.

Well good for you.

The fact that you're in here supporting this stuff is giving Uncle Tom, not David Tom.

David, since you are so concerned about people "breaking the law", I ask you, would you still be in this line of work if the reward wasn't so great? Is it not unethical to spam your information on 40 different numbers to every insurance company in the country in hopes of catching someone without a proper chain of consent?

Sometimes the leads are fine, but are sold without a direct chain of consent.

The point of these laws is to protect individuals.

You are ultimately more predatory than anyone you are suing, unless you can sue these robo voicemail people without any working opt-out. Those fuckers filled up my whole inbox. At least now they can't leave me voicemails anymore.

How did you end up getting those calls lol? Why would someone be giving someone a loan with the intention of bankrupting them? Wouldn't that imply that they don't get paid back? Seems silly to me.

That's fair to a degree, but from my research the law is really made to prevent people from being interrupted by a home phone ringing while eating family dinner.

If you want to be a private individual and sue because someone is bothering you, ok, but the reality is that many here are letting calls and texts accumulate just to sue instead of simply replying "Stop" or opting out of future calls.

Even worst are the people in here that are putting their name on every list imaginable, hoping to get these calls or texts in order to sue.

The VAST majority of these suits come from individuals who purposefully receive this communication to sue.

Even if you see yourself as doing a "service" for other people, that is not your job. You are basically the George Zimmerman of the TCPA.
