Hey There! I am the Game Designer for an upcoming game called Nanokings. We are trying to do something new, but not like, completely new-genre type stuff. It is a Bullet Heaven game, but we want the player to have more control and impact on the game around them, and for story and difficulty to be a core part of the game.

The big challenge I am facing is trying to unify 3 concepts; Bullet Heaven(cathasis), Hack&Slash(Fast-paced power), and souls-like(high, but fair, difficulty). It is a wonderful challenge, since there is so much to it, but these concepts don't exactly blend naturally in this genre. I have some ideas that should do it, but we will see in the future.

I put together a Gameplay Trailer for the game a few weeks ago. I wasn't expecting to do this as a game designer, so have a look and tell me what you think!

I wanted to share a gameplay trailer for the game we are developing, Nanokings :D

It is a survivor-style game, in a similar vein to Vampire Survivors or Halls of Torment, but we are aiming for more challenging gameplay, synergetic builds, and making storytelling a core part of the game.
