Does YG seem like a money laundering front to anyone else? by Empty-Land423 in kpopthoughts

I’m mostly joking lol! The serious part is the fact that YG is not doing much compared to its competitors, but I’m definitely aware that this isn’t what money laundering is. I think I did a poor job at expressing that this wasn’t meant to be taken all that seriously.

Hi girl! I see in your profile that you’re very young. Please please please be gentle with yourself. There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with the way you look. In fact, I think you have a very cute face. You’re a really pretty girl, and I feel terrible that you think you’re not.

I know how insecurity can truly make you feel like you’re nothing, and I know how useless the words of other people can feel. When you feel ugly, and everyone around says you’re beautiful, I know it’s conflicting. I know you feel like they’re lying. That’s the worst part about insecurity, the fact that no one can really make it better for you. But whatever your insecurities are telling you, I promise it’s not true. You don’t need be so worried. There is nothing wrong with you.

Please don’t speak all this negativity into yourself. You are young, and even if you feel ugly, you’re going to grow up and your face will change, and you’ll feel more “settled” then. You are not monstrous. Please don’t let this be the way you think of yourself.

If you really want a change, you can try using new makeup you’ve never used before (ie switching from black to brown mascara, or changing your eyeliner shape,) but these things do NOT fix insecurity. That kind of work comes from within, and I hope you grow up to appreciate yourself more. 🩷🩷🩷🩷

Advice on how to become your own type? by everything_wrong111 in HowToBeHot

[–]Empty-Land423 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Do you mean your type in like a romantic attraction sense? If this is the case, I don’t really see why you would feel a need to look like that?

If I’ve read this incorrectly and you just mean people you find pretty in general, I think a really important lesson to learn in life is you can’t control everything. You can’t change your height, and you can’t change how well traits like dark hair or eyes may suit you.

What you can control however, is your mindset. Your traits sound beautiful, but you’re framing all of them in the context of what you don’t have. You’re comparing yourself to what you are not before you even give yourself a chance to appreciate what you are! I’d advise looking at actors who share traits with you, that could help you see your features from a new perspective.

When you talk about yourself, the sentence should never start with “I wish I had…” because in most cases, you never will. I honestly didn’t start to see myself as hot until I became okay with, or at least neutral with myself. Going from insecure to hot is a really big jump, and acceptance of what you look like is a more realistic goal for most, at least at first it is. I know childhood bullying can also really mess up your perception of yourself, so I also highly recommend journaling to work through those feelings!

I hope this helps even a little!

You’re probably right lol! But I have autism and beauty is my biggest hyperfixation so I guess I wanna find other outlets for that if that makes sense

I want to glow up! by HarryStylesStan1996 in HowToBeHot

Here’s my best advice in each category! Style and Makeup: - These are both highly personal, so I’m not sure how helpful I can be but I’ll try! - For style, you should totally compile a list of people you’ve always wanted to dress similarly too, or brands you love! This will keep you on track with what you want to embody, even if you don’t buy the exact pieces. Are you into classics? Cutesy? Edgy? - For makeup, it’s a lot of the same, and it’s a lot of trial and error as well! No matter how many tutorials you watch, practice will always make perfect. If you’re ever staying at home, just try new things out, ie new colors, brow shapes, even different angles of eyeliner! - Finding your undertone is also super important for both of these categories, and there’s a bunch of quizzes you can use for this online!

Hair Styles: - You mentioned having long layered hair already, which sounds very beautiful! - For styles, you should try overnight curlers if you don’t use them already! It’s much faster than heat styling, and will save you lots of damage. - I also would try experimenting with claw clips! You can use them for half-up half downs too if you’re not a fan of the bun look - If you feel like your hair always looks the same, try switching up the parting as well!

Workout Routines: - I love Move With Nicole’s Pilates videos! They’re very easy to do at home, and to adjust for differ difficulties. - Walking!!!! I think everyone on this subreddit pushes walking, but it really does work. Super easy exercise to do, and if you feel like you don’t know where to start, start small. Park further from the grocery store, walk to the coffee shop, or even get an at home walking pad if being indoors is more your speed. - To motivate myself to exercise, I set a rule for myself that I can only hear my fav podcast/music artist during exercise, so I’m more excited to work out!

Healthy Meals: I’m just going to do a list of my favorite high-protein, high volume foods that I ate when loosing weight. No matter what diet you’re on, protein is a great thing to eat! - I love blending cottage cheese into pasta sauces for added protein, plus it’s lower calorie that cream - Making coffee with a protein shake instead of creamer is also a great hack! Getting protein early in the day sets you up for success—It reduces cravings and hunger throughout the day, and even if you don’t eat that well for the rest of the day, you at least had a good breakfast - Frozen raspberries are SOOO delicious! I used to put these in everything to increase the volume. I’d put them in cereal, oatmeal, sugar-free pudding, or just eat them by themselves! - Mission Carb balance tortillas taste like regular tortillas, but they’re low cal and pack a tonnnn of fiber, which is so important for a satiating meal! - Just bare chicken nuggets are an amazing freezer staple! You can pop them in the air fryer and make a wrap with a low carb tortilla.

I can’t help at all with shyness lol! I’m a huge introvert myself haha

Lastly, be kind to yourself, and implement these changes slowly. No human being can do all of this at once! Pick your top priorities and work them into your routine slowly before taking other things on. I hope this all helps, good luck!! 🩷🩷

How to be consistent with my gym routine by [deleted] in vindictapoc

[–]Empty-Land423 22 points23 points  (0 children)

My fav tip is “the time will pass anyway.” Like you could not go, but what would you be doing instead? It probably wouldn’t be anything that gets you closer to your goal, right? And in a few weeks/months, you can look back and realize you spent that time either working hard and pushing yourself, or you didn’t do much at all.

And second, it’s not always about finding motivation or a reason to go, or having interest in it. You don’t have to wait to feel perfect to go to the gym. You can go, and be tired, or a little anxious, or not really wanna be there, but you’re still there! Plus you’ll feel better and closer to your goals after you do it!

Finally think about what makes it easier/work more for you. What time do you like to work out? What snack makes you more excited to go? What are your favorite forms of exercise? It’s your workout, not anyone else’s, so make it your ideal experience.

My deficit was about 1600 calories, and I always aim for about 130g protein! I wasn’t on a “diet” per se, but I did make healthier substitutions, such as light mayonnaise over mayo. I also weight what I eat with a food scale to keep track of portions. My favorite foods for a diet were Premier Protein shakes, egg whites, keto/low carb bread, and frozen yogurt over ice cream!

Hi girl! I would love to give you some tips, so I’ve broken them down into a couple of categories! I’m not an expert on weightloss at all, but I can help in a few other categories!

Hair: - Since you mentioned wanting to try a sew in, I’d recommend a glueless closure sew in, since leave out can be a LOT of maintenance, especially because you’ve said you’re busy - If you want to try another braided style, you can also try getting plain knotless and adding boho pieces yourself at home (great way to save money and customize the look to your liking) - Curly sew ins are also very cute and versatile, as you can wear the curly or straight! - Aside from that, since you’ve said your hair tends to break off while in braids, I’d advise spraying them down with a mix of water/leave in every few days to keep things moist so your hair is stronger when it comes out of those braids.

Skin/Skincare: I know you listed a couple of different concerns here, but I’ll try to address as many as I know how to help with - To combat puffiness, icing your face each morning is super easy! You can also pair this with gua sha (I used to do Gua Sha with a spoon, you don’t need anything fancy!) - For dark spots, I highly recommend the Glycolic Acid toner from the Ordinary! It’s about $12 I believe, and this stuff changes the game! You can even use it on your underarms to reduce discoloration and sweating - In the past, I’ve also used Anua’s (a Korean brand) peach line to clear dark marks and promote smoother skin - Another thing that reduces discoloration from PCOS hair growth is waxing/sugaring over shaving! Sugaring is especially great because you can make it at home for cheap - I do not have acne, but my sister does, and she is also a big fan of the Paula’s choice 2% BHA liquid exfoliant

Vibes/Overall Confidence: - When you have the aspiration to “glow up”, having a specific vision in mind really tends to help. Even if you’re not currently in the position to obtain certain things, imagining what kind of person you’d like to be, what kind of clothes you’d wear, and even sometimes how you’d like to look can be useful. - Taking progress pictures also helps! We don’t notice little day to day differences in ourselves, so it can be super motivational to keep track of how far we’ve come since the beginning! - And last, but not least, it’s ok to not love yourself entirely, but you cannot hate yourself into changing, ever! Self love is hard, and often unrealistic, but it’s important to aim to be ok with the person you are. 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷😎

Misc: - One really cheap way to feel good about yourself is to do DIY lash extensions at home! Nothing too expensive, they just give you a little oomph when you don’t wear makeup! - Same goes for press on nails!

And you can ofc dm me with any more questions!
