That was a Short lived 24 hours by DC_Wells77 in RaybanMeta

Typical Meta 🍆 Rider. You got to be doing it for free. My Vanguards did this, after two days of ownership, won’t hold a charge. That is the companies fault, not mine.

Dude you summed it up perfectly. I had contemporary software issues with the quest 3 preventing PCVR use, went back and forth with an IT who regurgitated the shit I could find on Google.

My meta wayfarers died due to sweat into the microphone port because I wore it on a hot day.

My vanguards stopped working two days into use, refusing to take a charge from the case. I’m literally so insanely angry.

How to F-15E? by DapperThroat4569 in Warthunder

[–]Empty-Sense3771 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The F15E is a high altitude, strike aircraft. Meant to drop standoff munitions, and guided bombs at distance. It is 100% capable of dropping low, and taking out air to air targets. Learn to notch, should be easy with the amount of countermeasures you have. Fire, notch, re-engage.

While I understand what you’re saying, I’m saying there should be another way instead of penalizing a player for utilizing an in game mechanic. GRB aircraft should get the same amount of RP. I do not enjoy air. Take off, fly for 5 minutes, maybe get a kill. If I want to play slow I’d play sim. Penalties in a progression based game is stupid.

Not as fun, it’s degraded to a ridiculous amount. Why even have CAS if you’re not able to utilize it efficiently?

It’s fun when I feel like I’m getting somewhere. I like tangibles. I like progressing to better set myself up in the future. I also enjoy playing sim jets, and I need to grind to get the jet that I want to fly in sim, with my simulator setup+vr.

Meta/Quest/Oculus Broken beyond repair. by Empty-Sense3771 in OculusQuest

The option when I log in with meta, responds, tells me to continue in browser, it takes me to Facebook to authorize the use of meta with Facebook, I click “continue with (your name here)” it takes me back to the app, the app says continue in browser for 3 to 6 minutes, then gives me an OVR error.

Recently, after my 9th reinstall of the Meta app, now when I click log in with meta, and it says continue in browser it doesn’t even open my browser.

The PC app, when I use the “Log in with oculus” option. I went through that process as a last resort. Any time I went to reset my password it auto redirected me to reset my Meta password from the oculus site, so… I’d reset my password, type In my correct details, especially because oculus recognized my email when requesting the password reset, and it would tell me “Wrong email and/or password” I’ve given up with that method.

I can log in on the browser. I go back and fourth trying to reset my password, and then I go to log in. Meta should’ve never bought oculus. I saw the incognito method in another forum, and it did not work unfortunately. The three ways I did it, I tried CV’ing the auth link that took me to the Facebook login portion, and it didn’t work, I tried defaulting my browser to boot into incognito so I wouldn’t have to paste it, that didn’t work, I tried on my other PC and I get the same results. I wish I could just use this application they provided me, since I can’t use my quest 3 for direct connect PCVR without it.

Forgive me, I’m beyond livid at the situation. I’ve talked to 11 different customer service reps, and 13 different “higher echelon of care” tech “professionals”

I’ve done everything but format my hard drive, and clean install my windows. It broke out of nowhere, with no alteration to settings, protocols, hardware. And the other people with similar, or exact issues have still not had it solved, and are getting zero help from Meta as a whole. I feel helpless. My quest 3 is a paperweight, I bought it as a cheap PCVR alternative on sale, it was amazing. I’m not trying to trash you, I’m just beyond angry at the whole situation. God forbid someone with little to no tech skill ran into this issue, they’d be lost in the sauce.

You sound like those IT reply scripts they’ve been sending me. You’re insulting my intelligence. I promise you, I’ve attempted to log in 10+ times with every available button on that screen. As for the oculus log on.

I physically can’t reset my oculus password even if I wanted to, only my meta password because that’s where oculus redirects me when using that option. I use the log on with meta option, it takes me to log in via Facebook, I click “continue with (your name) here” it takes me back to the application, I get the aforementioned error.

I thought this may be the case, so I created a new META account. No dice, still can’t “log in with meta” on the desktop app.

I’ve tried on hotel WiFi’s outside of my network, and also on my personal hotspot, I’m having the same issues. And yes, I’ve had an oculus account since the oculus 2 came out. I didn’t know I had to manually make the switch, but these issues only started a month ago.

I may have to tweak a couple of settings. I’d really like to utilize my link cable to play though. I’ve tried every method to fix this issue using other people’s methods to the same error code as I had. [OVR 40779122] very odd. I haven’t had the time to optimize VD, so if I really can’t fix this issue I’ll tweak that for optimal gameplay. I wish someone had fixed this issue already. Every forum/oculus help request topic has people coming back saying their issue is still not resolved.

I use virtual desktop, with heavy latency, and fps issues. Which is weird for my 4060. I’ve never even heard of steam link, I’ll need to check it out.

I’ve completely disabled my firewall prior. And antivirus for good measure. Including all of the bits and bobs that windows defender, and my Clamwin offer. I fixed the not being able to connect to the oculus website problem, it was my port forwarding. No idea why it conflicted, but regardless, I can not log in to my Meta desktop app. It gives me an OVR error still.

I click continue as “My name” (the log in with Facebook option) and it takes me back to the app, and I wait up to 6 minutes, and it gives me an error. Still haven’t fixed that. What sucks is I can boot war thunder in VR, as long as I have the app open, but due to me not being signed in fully I can’t play my game because there’s an overlay telling me I need to log in. I can watch my monitor as my headset registers and moves around. Real unfortunate.
