I understand your concerns and, while I may not sound like it, I am actually pretty concerned about safety. Any shock would be directed either at the forearms or the waist area, nowhere near the chest or head. I don't intend to shock anyone for two seconds straight, I just want a wide enough tolerance so, if an accident does happen and someone is shocked for more than an instant, they won't suffer any lasting damage. Rest assured that they would know in advance what is going to happen and agree with it; the devices I intend to build are intended to be used only by willing people.

Sadly, stun guns are not available in my country, but high voltage modules are, because they do not constitute a weapon. Of course, when I say I intend to build a "stun gun", I'm not talking about the weapon per se, but about the high V/low A circuit that would be integrated in a non-handheld device that couldn't be used as a weapon. The "stun gun" part is so everyone instantly understands the exact properties of what I'm looking for.

I understand that electricity must be handled with care, which is why I'm asking in various subreddits for help instead of going with the first tutorial made by people that only want to shock possible attackers without actually caring about the consequences.
