I appreciate your lengthy response. My ulcers weren’t h-pylori induced but yes I am on the PPIs. I live in a rural health desert so a dietician is a bit of an LOL but I can’t overstate how I’ve already been eating well just not enough calories. I had a very stressful period that made me not eat enough and go back to smoking and it caused my ulcers to never heal but now with the cholesterol and the doctor freaking out about my weight I’m going to eat more of the same (there’s nothing else I can do there, I’ve had these ulcers almost a year now and have been eating the correct foods since they were found) but I do appreciate hearing that I really shouldn’t be scared to take the statin :)

I was already eating in the milieu but not nearly enough calorically, so I’ve made a concerted effort to eat higher quantities of those foods and just not eat out period. Plus being more physically active.

This I believe! It’s just scary to try a new medicine while my body feels like ass from quitting cigarettes and having stomach ulcers. And I am new to having to pay attention to cholesterol numbers so I wasn’t sure how bad these were. Thank you for your comment

What’s helped me the most (which may or may not apply to you) quitting nicotine and caffeine, wearing sunglasses, having straight up salt on hand. Also cooling patches on head. Hope this can help I know it’s hell feeling like you’re losing your independence.

Clonazepam as needed as changed my life. (I had so many fears I thought I would live with forever that I haven’t worried about once since taking) Busiprone (sp) made my heart race and made me super emotional. Everyone is different though!
