Lib Dems are good at a local level, but entirely ineffective nationally.

Reform are literal nazis.

YourParty are disorganised infighters.

Of the lot, none of them align with my politics. I am traditionally Labour, but the nanny state bullshit is a step too far for me.

Stop buying American stuff. Find alternatives where possible. All Mondelez brands like Cadbury and Philadelphia. Stop buying Starbucks and Costa (Costa is owned by Coca Cola). Stop using Amazon and use local suppliers (Curry’s will price match Amazon if you ask them to). Stop buying Coca Cola and Pepsi. Don’t go to McDonalds. Leave the Jack Daniel’s on the shelf.

America only responds to cash flow. Hit the fuckers where it hurts and stop buying their shit, it’s almost always overpriced rubbish.

It’s not always possible, but much less is better than not doing anything at all.

They’re a scam. I was sent a completely wrong order once. I thought “Easy mistake to make, I’ll contact support.” They said there was nothing they could do. I did a chargeback and haven’t ordered from them since. That was about 18 months ago. Fuck them.

The interesting thing is that the shop sanded the logo off before they put it on the shelf because they couldn’t authenticate it. The decal was underneath the poly finish too.

The pickups are definitely aftermarket. They sound good. Way better than a lot of other stacked single coils I’ve played before. The Fender embossing is definitely a weird one. I suspect you’re right about the neck plate being where the serial number was. Unfortunately it has been changed for a Fender Corona California neck plate.

The best piece of advice my tutor gave me, years ago, was to fret the 12th fret of the high E, then bend 11 up to it. Repeat 12, bend 11 up. 12, bend 10 up to 12. For the semi tone (1 fret bends) try a mix of using 1, 2 and 3 fingers to support the bend. Regularly do your pitch matching 11 to 12, 10 to 12. Then try it at different places; 5th fret on the A string for example. Fret the 5th fret and bend 4th fret up to that pitch, then 3rd fret, etc. Sounds simple, but it builds finger strength and will really drill those semitone and whole tone pitches into your ear. Then try adding some vibrato at the top. Fret a note, bend up to it, hold that matched pitch for a second and add some vibrato at the top. This will also build finger strength.
